Of course the stand/input dock is very nice and works perfectly. I am not using the stand to house an additional external drivers I have no comment on that feature. Hopefully, the unit will provide years of service.

The iMac 24" fits perfectly into the top of the dock. The ports in the dock that I have tested work fine except for one thing: it won't read one specific 2GB USB drive, and that drive is read fine on another device I have (a D-Link hub with multiple USB ports). I reported this problem via email to their support which affirms "we are always here to help you." Three days later and still no response. Nonetheless, I still give it 4 of 5 stores for the following reasons: fits my iMac fine; color matches my green iMac; the ports I've tested do all work (USB and thunderbolt). Just that one problem with one specific flash / USB drive whereas the dozen or so other flash drives I've tested all do fine. ... show more

This device is genius allowing you to expand not only your ports and add an m.2 drive as well and highly recommend and must use the macOS disk utility to format the drive. My only request is why don’t you make this item in pink which is the only color I can’t buy for my other iMac at home!

    • M.2 Drive connection failed after two months.

The only positive thing I can say about this item is that it looks great with my iMac--color coordinated and cleverly designed, placement wise. Unfortunately, looks aren't everything. Right after receiving this item, I inserted a brand new M.2 NVME SSD into the provided slot on the bottom of this unit, and after two months, the drive started failing. I purchased a second of the exact same M.2 drive around the same time for use in a desktop PC (installed the normal way right on the motherboard, of course), and it's working fine (as well as another M.2 drive in a third PC). They're all the same reputable brand, so I doubt that the fault of the drive failure lies with the drive itself; rather, I suspect the connection inside the Pulwtop is the culprit in all this. And of course, Amazon's return window is now closed, so I guess I'm screwed. The other ports in the Pulwtop are still working at this point (keeping my fingers crossed), but the M.2 drive slot is the main reason I bought this unit! So for me, this is an epic fail (no pun intended). YMMV. ... show more
