We got a minute dachshund recently. I was not aware of their reputation of being notoriously hard to potty train. Currently, she is being crate/playpen trained. I put one of these on the bottom of the playpen for accidents. I am so happy that it keeps messes contained and I can throw it in the wash with some bac-out enzyme cleaner.     • Update: They ARE machine washable. You CAN put them in the dryer.

First , they are way smaller than I thought they'd be. I was in a hurry to buy, and didn't look at the dimensions, clearly noted. Because the first thing I saw on the largest size was a Golden Retriever who looked like he's sitting in the middle of of a 5 x 7 field. The seller made that visual trick on purpose. But I take full responsibility for falling for it. The term "washable" is also a bit tricky. What does that term acutally mean? Maybe you CAN but them in a washing machine on a gentle cycle. I wouldn't try it. They'd say "machine washable" if they were. More tricky language but not false. The poop does come out by hand...but it's a time suck doing it. And I wouldn't risk the dryer. So, hang dry. I could be wrong, but I don't want bits of these things ruining my washer and dryer. I have two new puppies...I need something easier than this. My advice, skip this product unless you're curious. Mar 14: The seller notified me to say these ARE machine washable. So I tried it, cautiously--low temp, delicates, low temp dryer. They came out great. Will they last through several washes, I don't know. But I hope so. I can recommend. Better than bath towels. ... show more
