  • Enlarged Hot Shoe Space: The new version of the cage enlarges the space around the camera hot shoe, and now you can use the cage together with the Microphone ECM-W2BT for Sony, Flash HVL-F32M or other accessories that require the use of the hot shoe on the top of the camera.
  • Enlarged Battery Compartment Space: The space for the battery compartment at the bottom of the cage is enlarged, making it easier for you to change memory cards. The cage does not interfere with the use of buttons, card slots, battery compartments, and flip screens. There is a slot in the battery compartment to place the dummy battery cable. When using the dummy battery, the camera can also be placed flat on the table.
  • Multiple Mounting Options: The cage has built-in multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes, 3/8"-16 positioning holes for ARRI, which can be used with the Top Handle 1638, 1446, 1984 and 2165 for low-angle shooting; it can also be installed with a Power Bank Clip BUB2336 to fix the power bank near the camera for continuous power supply. There is a built-in cold shoe on the top and bottom of the cage, which can expand the Microphone 3468 and LED Video Light 3286 for a complete vlogging solution.
  • Silicone Handle with Comfortable Grip: The cage has a built-in detachable silicone handle designed according to ergonomics. The cage is fixed by a 1/4"-20 screw at the bottom, and the camera can be double-fixed with the included anti-deflection lock to further prevent deflection.
  • Quick Release Plate for Arca-Swiss: The quick release plate for Arca-Swiss at the bottom attaches directly to the tripod for Arca-Swiss type for quick switching between handheld, tripod and stabilizer shooting. The bottom threaded holes are designed for the quick release plate of the RS 3/RS 3 Pro/RS 2/RSC 2 stabilizer to improve the stabilizer shooting experience.

So this is my second Smallrig cage. I have nothing bad to say about these, between all the mounting options the good build quality of these I give them all the marks. This fits my ZV-E10 Perfectly and I ordered with the handle and it makes it fit so much better in my hands. I have about average sized hands for a guy and the ZV-E10 feels way to small to carry comfortably but this really fixes that issue and makes it so much easier to hold. 10/10 will continue to purchase smallrig products as long as they keep the quality and price. ... show more

    • Makes a Solid Camera Better!
The Smallrig Cage Grip for the Sony ZV E10 camera makes a solid camera better. FITMENT IS NEARLY PERFECT, accommodating ALL the camera's controls and access points... even if access to the headphone jack is a tad tight. You may think this a simple product, but this Smallrig offering is FEATURE-RICH. Its rubberized grip is more substantial than the camera's own grip, allowing you to handle the camera with greater confidence. If the unfortunate occurs and you accidentally drop the camera, the Cage Grip protects nearly every leading edge on the camera's body.. it even has its own strap points to allow the cage to bear the brunt of a drop while the camera is on a neck strap. Perhaps best of all, the Cage Grip gives the camera mounting points on all four sides and cold shoes both top and bottom.. and even features integrated arca swiss compatibility at the base.. all of this gives users GREATER FLEXIBILITY in accessorizing the ZV E10 or in setting up their own photo or video rig. ... show more

    • Great cage, but not perfect.
I’d say that most of the reviews here are pretty accurate. This cage is built well and the silicone grip makes it *much* more comfortable to hold. The extra mounts are much appreciated. My wife and I only have a couple small complaints: 1) The cage slightly gets in the way of the shutter button. You can still press it with the side of your finger, but if you have larger fingers you might have some issues. I’m not sure they could make the cage any smaller to accommodate the button, though… 2) The camera strap holes are a little narrow. This cage does not support our other Canon and Sony camera straps as they are too wide for the strap holes provided by the cage. The cage goes over one of the camera’s strap mounts, so you can’t use the camera’s built-in strap mounts while using the cage. Not a deal breaker, but now we need a new strap specifically for this cage. 3) The cage gets in the way of some accessories (mics, lights, etc.) for the hot shoe. Your mileage may vary. Overall, this cage is great. You still have access to everything you need on the camera and it’s built like a tank. There is some added weight with the cage, which is actually appreciated if you’re using a slightly heavier or larger lens as it balances out. If you’re vlogging, using the camera as a webcam, or using the camera on a tripod the cage may not be necessary. However, if you’re doing long handheld sessions, or need a lot of additional mounts and accessories for your camera, this cage will do the trick. ... show more

While the weight is minimal it creates a sturdy feel to your camera and gives you slightly more confidence in any un-predictable accidents. I'm super happy I bought it. It also gives you more options for add ons later down the road as you build out your setup.

There are lots of choices out there but few offer the versatility Bill design and compact features built into this smallrig camera frame. Get your MacGyver on and add all kinds of accessories that had function and versatility to your camera.
