I recently bought a mobile home in a retirement community and shortly discovered a mice presence in the walls and underneath. I could hear them gnawing and moving about late at night. Mostly in one particular area, a nest I presume. I looked into alternatives to traps and poisons and discovered the ultrasonic pest repellant. I decided on this brand "Pest Repellar" and decided to give them a try. I put one in each room and waited. At first, I noticed no change. Still late night gnawing etc, same area. After about three weeks, I began noticing a marked decline in these annoying sounds at night. Lately a new pattern has emerged. Silence. For the past week or so I have not heard anything. At this point I'm coming to the conclusion that mice can tolerate the sounds the devices emit, but don't find it a particularly pleasant place to nest and have moved on so to speak! Compared to what I was hearing repeatedly in the first several days of living here, to gradually disapating to silence, I can't conclude otherwise. I recommend this product as just short of a miracle solution to my problem of what I assume are mice or rats. I read that these repellars wear out after a year or two. I've only had them a month and if that's all it costs me to keep mice away, I'll gladly pay it! ... show more

If you put them by the door to a room the rats will not go in. The plugins are around the floor. The rats will search higher ground. You can not block them with doors or furniture. Put one in the laundry room because the rats will eat your washing machine. Works great. Ran an extension cord under my bed. Keeps bugs and rats from getting under the bed. ... show more

Alright yall I live in an old country house and I've seen one mouse in my upstairs (basically a ply wall away from being outside) I just plugged in 4 to cover a relatively small upstairs and did a few downstairs as well. Will let you know if I see the mouse again.
