I decided to try everything I could on this item so I could really give an honest review. So here goes. First off I was worried about the sizing as being a larger gal sometimes if a vest is puffy it won't sit right and sometimes it's better to go up a size. Well I ordered my normal size of XL and it fit PERFECT! It's not puffy at all. In fact it's very thin, which I love and even with it being thin it does produce adequate heat and holds it very well. I think it could use some more heating elements in the pockets but that's really just personal preference. Now let's talk usage. Well it is very cold where I live and this thing is amazing! I work in a cold office and I was able to set it to high and stay warm on my way to work then switch it to minimum to stay cozy in my office. Then back to high for my travels outside for a break and even switching back and forth I was still able to crank out about 6 hours of continous average run time. The battery pack is a bit large and I can see it maybe being noticable on the smaller sizes but you can charge your phone with the battery and have the vest on at the same time so it's a small price to pay really. I really like the life span and the USB ports on the battery. So if you are on the fence about making the purchase I would say go for it. You won't be dissapointed at all. Just temember, fits true to size, not overly puffy, long battery life with USB ports for dual charging, gets hot enough to keep you warm and overall gets the job done for a very reasonable price. ... show more

I really like the way this vest lays on your ‘person’ … doesn’t look bulky or baggy; I even recommend one size up for a little room for the heat to radiate around. This is our second purchase with this brand (a second order of this very vest, in fact!) and my husband and I are very pleased. Easy to control and alter heat levels which is SO nice when you’re working outdoors early in the morning. If there was *one* tweak I’d make about the jacket it would be to have the vest material itself be sewn in a more “quilted” fashion, that way it is even less likely to catch on fence wiring when we’re working on pens. All in all I would definitely recommend this vest and this company; I have ordered 3 in the past year to give as gifts, and I’ve passed the company name on to more people than I can count. I love this product. It really came in handy with the cold snap that's been going on across the country. It doesn't replace the need for a coat, of course; but, it provides some extra warmth. The heated collar is a nice feature. The jacket itself is light weight and the heated pockets are a nice touch. I like that there are different settings to choose from. The only "criticisms" that I have are that the battery pack can get pretty hot; but, if you turn the jacket off when not in use, you should probably be fine. Also, the battery life isn't the greatest. I only got a couple of hours on high. This problem can be remedied by purchasing extra battery packs (if that's an option). I've only had the product for a couple of weeks; so, I cannot speak to the longevity...and I've only worn it for short periods of time, so I haven't had a chance to see how it does after being washed. To summarize: The jacket is warm and lightweight... which is exactly what it's meant to be! And it's a welcome addition to help fight the frigid temperatures. ... show more

So, after accidentally ordering the wrong size (small) I decided to reorder this same product in a larger size (x-large) deciding that I would just send the small size back. Well, the X-Large arrived today and the packaging my vest came in is different than the packing for the small size (see pictures) the small size comes in a bag that could be used to carry the vest around while the x-large size comes in a box. At first I thought I was getting an upgrade because of the box but of course upon opening it found that instead of a reusable bag I just got a plastic slip. Then, as I pulled the vest out of the packaging, hoping that that would be the only difference I noticed that the small comes with a discrete black zipper, while the large comes with a red zipper. The difference in quality for both vests is also incredibly different (see pictures) with the small size actually carrying the name of the brand while the extra large size instead has an on and off button. Attached is a label for a totally different brand as well. When ordering the new vest, I thought at the very least I would be able to keep the original battery pack as I had already opened it and begin charging it however, even the battery packs are different. (See photos, original pack on the left, new pack on the right) The only positive I can give it so far is that it does fit. I will update once I have charged the new battery pack. ... show more

Nice vest. I get cold while working at home, so I will be using it this winter mostly at home. I ordered a small, my usual size, and it fits well even with a sweatshirt underneath. Although, if I am using the battery pack, it is a little snug when zipped up. The battery pack is a little heavy, but not too bad. ... show more

After several weeks with this vest my wife likes to use this as part of a base layer. It gets her warmed up and keeps her warm on outdoor journeys in the cold winter weather. It doesn't get hot, it gets warm, but that's not what you'd expect from something like this. Think of it like a heated car seat on the lowest setting and you're in the neighborhood. The battery pack sits in an inside pocket an isn't terribly intrusive. The battery hasn't stopped working in the time we've been out and about with it so it's hardto assess it's full running time but its definitely over an hour. I think I'll be getting myself one of these for winter motorcycle rides to make them much more tolerable and extend the riding season. All in all it's a great addition to your cold weather arsenal especially if you get cold easily like my wife. ... show more
