This coat is totally awesome. Perfect for sub zero temps as I live in Minnesota. I do not wear caps, so the warm hood is a real plus. I like how fancy they have the wristline on the coat, and there is a cuff underneath of it around the wrist to keep the draft out. It is so warm and fancy, that if you put it on when you are inside, immediate sweating starts to occur in seconds to even a minute after. It does come a little wrinkled from being in the package so long, but I am not picky about that as it not like I work in an office somewhere and have to be concerned about appearance. The wrinkling will come out over a little bit of time wearing it. Fanciest coat I ever bought, also more expensive than most I buy as I usually have to buy cheap. But well worth the money spent on it. I bought the one that the color says Khaki, it is actually a dark tan to a VERY light brown. Very comfortable. And it is true to size. I usually wear a 2xl in most brands and it fits just like that as it is a 2xl. I have to worry sometimes when I shop for a jacket or coat online, because some brands tend to fit really small. I have never been happier with an Amazon purchase. The large fit, but no room for bulky sweater so I exchanged it for an xlarge. No problems there. I'm 5'7, 36DD, 175lb. The pits are a bit past the shoulder on me, but that's to be expected from the XLarge. After I threw it in the dryer with a handful of ice cubes to get the packing wrinkles out (iron will work fine, I'm just lazy) it fit a little snugger but perfect over a t-shirt and a sweatshirt hoody. The outside is like a barn jacket material, like a thick denim almost, very close to Carhartt but half the price. The inside is HEAVY sherpa in the vest and HEAVY quilting in the arms, which I love because I don't have to hold my sleeve cuff to get it in there. The waist is great, can tighten it, no boxy coat here!. Go's past the butt on me at 5'7, and waist is where its supposed to be. Zippered hood, it's held by 2 really small plastic tag holders so if you're having trouble look for those. Once I cut them out I unzipped it completely (to throw in the dryer) and was able to zip it back in with ease. Front has zipper, snaps and toggles. It's a nice coat. I haven't washed it yet. I probably should. It's wool lining I think. It zips, then buttons, then sailor buttons and then has a tie around. It has a detachable hood. It's warm. I don't know how warm it will be in the snow though.

Have you ever found yourself pumping gas when the wind chill is -70 and instead of getting back in the car, you wait for the tank to fill and think about actually writing a review for the coat you are wearing that you bought over a year ago? Well, that was me. I love this coat. It's super warm without being bulky, looks good, holds up against all sorts of use, has more pockets than I can use, and can withstand North Dakota winters. I have very long arms so I usually default to a size large but the large was too big for me. The medium's sleeves are still long enough even for my long arms. I can also fit a sweatshirt under the medium just fine so there's no need for the large. Keeps me warm and prevents the wind from getting to me. I typically don't wear it with the hood since I do wear a sweatshirt underneath it and that has a hood. When it starts to rain I'll definitely use the included hood. ... show more

The jacket is great, nice and warm, cuts the wind and doesn't get soaked. Zippers and snaps easy to use and seem strong. Hood zips on and off no tricks, nice and big. Chicagoland jacket approved. The lie on the jacket is that it was said to have side pockets and it does not. Only top ones. Not the biggest deal but something you have to get use to. I wear an 18, lately hovering closer to size 20. This coat fits great. I could get a sweater under, but probably won't ever want to. This jacket is warm!! The zipper is heavy duty. Great pockets. Love the hood. It's about car-coat length, past my bum but not to my knees. I'm pretty tall. Arm length is great. I love the knit wrists. Very cozy. Adjustable tied at the waist will keep the wind out. I have not washed it yet but expect it will easy just fine. Down side, this coat is heavy. I can't wear it long inside because it's so warm, but it's so dang heavy it's hard to carry for long. ... show more

This appears to be a very well made, warm coat. It's heavy in weight and the lining is very thick. I ordered an extra large and it seems to run a little small. The sleeves are a slimmer fit and you can't wear any layers underneath. The zipper is a metal zipper and can be a little tricky to use but it is a nice quality. I'm hoping that after some use it becomes easier to zip. I'm pleased with the coat and do recommend this product. Just order a size larger than you normally wear. ... show more
