I love the idea of these floating around in my pool at night to create a fun ambience. The flicker of the candle is realistic, and they have a couple of different modes from staying on to fade to flicker, which is my favorite. They are very light weight but seem durable. It's winter here right now so I left them out on the deck to charge as much as possible even though it's cloudy and they still charged up and came on automatically when it's dark. For a hot tub 2 would be enough. For a bigger pool or even in landscaping you would need quite a few more of them to make a statement so for the money, they seem expensive for just 2 of them. They would be nice for use on a table for a candle lit evening on the deck. Hopefully they will last as so many solar type lighting options quit working within the first year. I'm hoping these will at least last through to the summer so I can float them in the pool. I would recommend them for the quality and the way they work, but not for the price point. $24.95 would seem to be a better price that I would deem acceptable. It would also be nice if there was a remote control for them! Having to pick each one up and push buttons on the bottom to change the mode is going to be inconvenient when they are floating in my pool. ... show more

I love these light for Christmas at the camp ground ! They will float in the pool but my purpose was for Christmas decorations at the campground and they work and we are in love with them ! If you are putting them on steps I would buy one pack for each step it makes a beautiful show outside!

I have these in my small patio water feature. They're quite charming floating around in there with the water gurgling around them. I love the candle effect. Now, if there is a cloudy day or rainy day they will not get enough ambient sunlight to charge and won't come on. I've had other solar powered lamps that charge with even a small amount of ambient light. These do not. But, once they do have full sun they do charge and light up nicely. Do consider that these aren't necessarily the best value but if it's the aesthetic you're going for I would say you won't be unhappy. ... show more

These do float, so that's great. The light modes are a steady brighter light, a steady softer light, and a flickering light. The lights stay on for quite awhile, but are definitely faded by morning and ready for a recharge. Looks nice in the pool, and they are large enough that there is no concern of the lights being sucked into the pool filter intake. Overall a nice option for a bit of light by the pool. ... show more
