    • Leaves hair soft & only mildly stiff
The only reason I gave this product a 4 is NOT because there's anything wrong with the product, but because it doesn't leave my hair with the soft flexible curls I thought it would. There is a little crunchiness to it. And it dries out my hair a little. However, I have "chemo curls" because my hair is growing in after chemotherapy. The chemo curls are already dry, and this product made my hair a little more dry, especially the 2nd day. I'm sure it will work better for someone who is not dealing with "chemo curls." ... show more

I have thick/curly hair & have used this product for 5+ years. I have tried MANY products but I always go back to this curl cream. It doesn’t leave my hair crunchy, minimizes frizz, and lasts all day. I would recommend using this product with a hair serum to add shine.

I like the smell of this cream. I had originally used too much cream which made my hair a strange stiffness that felt almost greasy. But now that I'm using way less (like a tablespoon for my shoulder length curly hair) it's been nice to reduce the frizz and help for my curls.

    • Curly but feels dirty
For my Type 2B wavy/curly hair, Pros: definitely encouraged my curls and added hold, especially when combined with diffuser heat. I could almost feel the curls shrink up as I dried my hair. Cons: didn't work great with air dried hair, Day 2 hair felt super dirty, feels like it does after I have been camping for a week. Ultimately not something I want to use daily but good for when I really want my Day 1 curls to look nice. ... show more
