Yes its pricey however any great product will cost more and it's so worth it. I have super long hair and brushing is a pain! This has helped tremendously and it smells amazing!

I used to use Joico detangler in the blue bottle forever, but it’s discontinued. My hair is fine, thin, and bleached. After trying other products that ended up in the trash, I finally found this one. I absolutely love it!!!!!! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I absolutely love the smell, and it does help untangle a little. The issue that I have, is that it does tend to dry my hair out. I still use it though to get to get through the tough tangles.

    • Does not Detangle Super Curly Hair
This would probably be fine as JUST a leave in conditioner, but it is not good at detangling dry curly hair. First, it's advertised as both a leave in and a detangler, but unless the only time you detangle your hair is coming out of the shower, it's not going to work well for you. Second, it does not do anything different than just putting a dab of conditioner in the ends of your hair when you get out, as far as that goes. So, given the price... Not worth it to me. Third, it is thick, like a conditioner. So, if you spray it in dry hair, to get your hair wet enough for it to work, it makes the hair heavy and sticky. Which, for my girls actually made more tangles, not less. So, I tried diluting it... Then it's not slippery enough to detangle. I tried wetting the hair slightly first, then spraying, still caused more tangles. Unless your hair is completely wet, it's not detangling it. I have two girls with long hair, one with super curly thick hair (mixed white, Indian, and Puerto Rican, so think Shakira hair). Didn't work at all for her. The second has curly hair, just not quite as curly as my oldest (same ethnicity, but she didn't end up with as much curl, think a little more relaxed, like Julia Roberts). It did okay for her, but still took longer to brush her hair than our usual product. Frankly Suave kids detangler works 1000x's better than this at detangling. If all you're looking for is a leave in conditioner, or your hair is only slightly curly, it will work fine if you wet your hair enough. It smells fine, nothing obnoxious or horrible.
