We love this thing and wish we had purchased it years ago! We love camping and day trips, and since purchasing have used this in so many ways. If we’re out and decide to stop to enjoy a pretty spot, we can create a shade space in minutes. Camping, we’ve used it as an extra shade area but also used it to create angles of protection from the rain. We also set it up at home when we’re grilling. My dog and I camp a lot throughout the year and I picked this up to replace one I had that tore. So far after 4 multi day hiking and camping trips this hammock tarp seems legit. The loops seem tough enough to really tighten my shelter down in the wind and rain. The reflective side is nice at night.

Got this rain fly just in case for our backpacking trip. It was small and light weight. Super easy to set up and worked great. Unfortunately it did not rain, but I believe it would of held up just fine.

    • keeps you dry in your hammock

I took this tarp on a solo weekend tent camping trip. It was a very rainy weekend. I bought this because I knew I needed an additional shelter while camping, a part from my tent. I wanted to setup my hammock at my site and I wanted cover from the sun and rain. pros: -lightweight -comes with guy lines, stakes -plenty of grommets. Grommets also have loops. -there's a reflective material on one side that, used during the night, can keep in more heat. -at the very least water resistant, but I'd wager it's water proof cons - guy lines are finicky to use. The sliders are cheap and difficult to move up the line. -stakes are cheap. I was able to bang them into rocky, hard ground with a rubber mallet but I'm afraid they won't last long. nuetral- -not the easiest to pack away, but is definitely doable. -not loops or grommets on the interior of the outer side of the tarp. In case you wanted to set up in the andirondack configuration. this is a great buy for the money. Can't comment on the durability because I only used it once, but the water resistance is top notch. I set it up over my hammock and slept outside in it overnight. That night, there was a downpour and I stayed bone dry the entire night. It also dries quickly/ easily. ... show more

Fantastic product, in fact I loved mine so much I purchased on for my nephew, he was using an old blue plastic tarp. A square tarp is the way to go when creating shelters. Great product. Lots of tie out points and the silver side makes for a great heat reflector.

High winds with sharp gusts broke my aluminum poles, but not the tarp. We used driftwood spruce to fashion poles and the 10'x16' tarp held up just fine. The silver coating on improves light under the tarp. Highly recommend this tarp.

Bought this to rig up my own awning for my Van. Works great for saving me hundreds of dollars. Takes a little more time to setup/breakdown than the fix mounted foldup/rollup type ones but worth it for my needs.
