  • Solid pump, good value
Style: 5 - 30 Gallons
Had this pump for a few days and it's working well, very quiet. I like the dial to control the air flow. Came with tubing and some extra items, too, so I didn't have to buy that all separately. Good value. We'll see how it holds up but happy so far.

Works exactly as it should. Quiet. Easy set up. Air flow is as should be. Fish seem more active.

  • Awesome unit
Style: 5 - 30 Gallons
This is a great item. I run a sponge filter in my African dwarf frog tank. They prefer calm water and aren’t strong swimmers. This unit allows me to lower the amount of air being pushed from the sponge filter so the water isn’t too crazy for the little guys. I’m also impressed by how quiet it is! I usually buy a cheap mouse pad and set all my air units on that. The air tubing that came with the unit is awesome as well. It’s thick and durable. This prevents kinks very well. I did not use the air stone that come with the unit because I needed a smaller stone to fit inside my sponge filter. I believe it’s worth mentioning to others that the air stone is large. It wouldn’t have worked for what I needed but I’m hanging on to it for future use. I have only one complaint and that is that there is a pebble inside the check valve that rattles endlessly. I switched it out for a check valve I had laying around. I could hear it over the pump and it would have driven me mad. All in all I’m happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Works well and is SUPER quiet
Style: 5 - 30 Gallons
I have purchased 3 of these in the past year because they are so amazing. The different settings for the airflow is really helpful because I can set it low for my axolotl tank and high for my goldfish tank. I was worried about the noise, but the bubbles is produces in the water is louder than the actual machine! It is extremely quiet as long as nothing is pressed up against it. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing this item. ... show more

  • So far, a very good air pump…..
Style: 100 - 200 Gallons
I purchased both the smaller and now the larger pump both work really well. I put the larger one on the outside pond only concern I have is it does have a knob to turn the flow up or down, which can be a good thing for an aquarium, but it can get turned down by accident in the pond, but nothing a piece of tape can’t fix. I like how it comes with the large air stones which do put out a lot of bubbles.. these air stones make the cost of the pump actually decrease. The airline is probably not gonna be long enough, but depends on your system. ... show more

  • Performs well but noisy
Style: 5 - 30 Gallons
I'm using one of these air pumps for a 5 gallon tank and it really does work great with a sponge filter. However, when running on higher levels it puts out a very high pitched noise that is just loud enough to be incredibly annoying. I've tried placing it on softer surfaces and actually exchanged one because I thought it was a defect, but I'm still seeing the same results. ... show more

  • A pretty decent Air Pump!
Style: 5 - 30 Gallons
This air pump is very quiet and relatively slim. My favorite thing about it is that it's basically rectangular, so it fits behind my aquariums well. I have this running two small sponge filters in 2.5 G aquariums on top of a small bookshelf. Additionally, this is the first small air pump I've found that doesn't slowly vibrate itself into the nearest object. The peaceful bubbling is all I can hear from a few feet away, a vast improvement from its aging predecessor! My only complaint is that I chose this particular air pump because it is adjustable and was under the assumption that it would be more than capable of running two teensy sponge filters and maybe have some power to spare since it is rated for up to 30 gallons. It's currently hooked up to a 4-way gang valve with only two in use. The other two are closed with no air leaking. I had to fiddle with the levers for several minutes before I got it just right, otherwise ALL the air comes out of the outlet on the furthest end. With just these two running, it seems to barely be able to balance them evenly so I don't think I'll be able to add any other lines. However, I don't have any experience using gang valves though, so maybe it's user error, a bad gang valve or normal for the pump? I want to give the suction power 3 stars but am not sure I could do so confidently blaming the pump so I will give it a 4. Any comments on this would be helpful. ... show more
