We use the 7000 gph pump to pump through our pond filter and it also goes through an aeration sprayer. We converted our pool to a pond and needed a reliable pump to filter and aerate it. Our pump runs submerged with a prefilter system that keeps debris out of it. Although our pond, being a natural pond, is pretty green but not slimy. We installed the pump on May of 22' and now, a year later, it is still pumping as new. We have ran the pump 24/7-365 since we received it. We only shut it off to make sure its clean, and it has always been. We also purchased the 1700 gph pump to pump pond water out, through a garden hose, to our landscape plants. It performs well too. Overall, these pumps are as well made as most. Their price is not too bad, and they are as reliable as any pump I've owned. I am happy with my purchase... Oh, to have included two barbed adaptors would be nice, but since the connections to the pump are NPT, any commonly available NPT barb or other fitting will attach well. On my 1700 pump I found an 1xMGHT adapter and my garden hose connects directly, thus securely. Having regular threaded hubs gives more versatility to these pumps, that not all pump do... ... show more

I made a waist high rain barrel into a Fountain. It’s gone through a sump type pump a year. They have floats to prevent run drys. I tried wimpy pond pumps. They failed to lift water. My last sump pump consumed 5000watts(3/4hp)! This one runs -100 quiet watts. I installed a separate float. This little pump is dead quiet. Lift pressure to properly power the fountain. Now we will see how well it holds up this year. Congratulations. Your pump made an entire year without failure. Running in the sun baked rain barrel. Never had any issues with it all year. First time a pump is made it in five years. Yes, the rainwater is kept clean. I installed a float system in the barrel to turn it off and on. This seemed like a good pump. Strong, good lift and quiet. It went into full service in my koi pond in April of 2024. I noticed starting about 2 weeks ago, it just randomly stops, then randomly starts. I clean the pump weekly and all connection are in great shape. But now it is stopping for hours, then start.
