Good dishes. I may buy another four. They are not flat and liquids will collect in center to some extent. Good if you are enjoying pancakes or pasta. If you are trying to keep things separate, then less so. They look nice and clean well. As advertised.

Love the weight, size and design of these plates. They stack well too. Just an FYI. The coloring of the plates are not all the same. They are all a bit different but that’s why I really like them. Very rustic!!

    • Reactive glazing produces very inconsistent results

I bought a set of 4 large and small plates, and 1 of those 8 had the charming blue appearance as you see in the pictures. The rest had 85-95% white speckles. Further, several plates had ugly blotches that either looked like some debris hadn't been cleaned off the plate, or that the plate had been chipped. The deal breaker though was the fact that the bottoms weren't flat on several plates, meaning when you press down with a fork the plate tilts. So it's really hit and miss with these. I could have asked for a replacement and gotten lucky, but the styrofoam these are packed with was for some reason shedding tons of dust size particles, and even weird translucent hairs. I don't want styrofoam in my eyes or lungs, thanks. ... show more

I was nervous about buying plates online because I was afraid they would arrive and be ugly, cheap & tacky looking. If you also are worried about this, then these are definitely the plates for you. First of all, they are so pretty. Just like the pics but I like them even more in person. They have a nice heavy weight to them, sturdy and good quality, without being too heavy to actually use. The size is perfect, nice & big, with a relatively shallow profile and a curved lip around the edges to keep any sauces, etc. from sliding off. Washed great in the dishwasher. Overall, there’s just something very appealing about them, it makes me happy to look at them. They were also packed very well with thick styrofoam between and around them in a well-fitting box, so they arrived in perfect condition with no chipped or broken ones. I would definitely buy these again or other things in the set to match them. ... show more

I bought these plates to go with another set, sort of makes a complementary group. I love the texture of the side ridges on the place, and the color as well. The only thing I have a bit of trouble with is that on two plates (out of a set of four) have white "specks" on each one - see picture here. I will keep them, but still a little disappointment over the "specks" on the two. ... show more
