Plates are awesome, light weight and durable and great size. Only issue is that things like tomato sauce can leave light hue (not really a stain). Typically a run through the dishwasher makes it disappear but the lighter plates still look to have that hue if you don’t wash it off right away. Even with the hue the plates are clean and no concern using. These are perfect for outside use, we don’t like to use breakable dishes outside and these are perfect for our use, we just wondered why the set was 5 plates, 4 perhaps or 6 but not sure who decided on just 5 plates. Regardless they are well made, not heavy and very nice colors.

I bought 3 sets of these because I like how lightweight they are and how they still stay relatively cool even if you microwave them for a while. But I notice a few of the plates would have these splotches on the surface and when washing them in the dishwasher, the soap residue would get stuck only on those splotchy areas. I also notice those specific same plates would start to look warped compared to the others that look flat. so far 3 out of the 15 are affected like this. Either this was a quality control problem with those 3 or all the plates will eventually end up like this but I've only had them for around a month ... show more

One plate melted in microwave! Two of the other plates couldn’t go in the dishwasher otherwise they would smell like burning rubber (oddly the other 3 *seemed* fine in the dishwasher). I don’t know whether any of them were actually safe in either the microwave or dishwasher, because if one can melt then it seems likely that all are radiating their coating chemicals when heated to high temperature. ... show more
