The little bit of rim on the sides, make them easy to carry to chair or picnic table...and any foods with sauces are confined...We got dinner and salad size plates. I gave my 90 yr old mother 4 of the salad plates to try out...and they fit her needs perfectly also...May be ordering more.     • Great for the price!
I did notice these were not as sturdy when warmed and full of food as they are when cool. Though not nearly as flexible as a paper plate you still want to get a good grip on them before dashing off with a full plate of hot food. As long as you’re prepared for this it’s not a big issue so yes, I fully recommend these plates. They are inexpensive so use 2 if you’re worried about that one Uncle who always manages to spill. Yes they do show wear after using a sharp knife on them a few times and they can show some food stains but so does plastic. Unlike plastic they handle the microwave and dishwasher well and are non toxic and naturally anti-microbial (or so I’ve read anyway). For my purposes as a caregiver, they are absolutely perfect! I will buy them again and I do recommend them. They are very durable for the price, safe for us and for the environment, do not flavor my food, and better looking than plastic. These have been used very often because they are perfect for the microwave. They are easily cleaned in the dishwasher and are multi-colored. I will buy more of these.

Perfect product for my grandson’s special needs residence. Four boys that need dishes that won’t break. Their kitchen was ruined because of water damage. The wonderful Organization replaced their kitchen but I wanted to replace their orange well loved d plastic dishes. When I saw these, I had to get them. They did not disappoint! We all love them!
