I've had this set up for almost 2 years now. So, you can trust me when I say that this nail process is the absolute best for the at home nail girl. I've had acrylics, I've tried dip, I went through a polygel phase, I even tried just using gel polish on my natural nails to see if that would give me what I wanted. But with nail beds that are a little flatter and oddly shaped I struggle to keep any of them on for more than a few days. Except acrylics. But I hated how thing acrylics left my nails. And I always busted them off doing farm chores. Hay and expensive nails do not mix. Plus with acrylics you have to wait weeks between new sets. And it just wasn't my jam. Dip is nice and strong but a pain to re-do if I damage or want to switch. Polygel is nice and pretty, but didn't like to stick to my flatter nails. And it was difficult to shape for me. With these, I have the exact length and style I want in just under an hour. I can replace a popped of nail in a few minutes if I need to. Though I generally don't have these pop off until I decide I want them off. Which tends to be every week or so. They hold up well to typing, and feeding out animals. And the solid state glue is awesome. It doesn't rip into my nails like acrylics. All in all this is my go to nail set up now. I have thrown all my other methods away. 10/10 will stick with them. I do prefer shorter to medium oval nails. So the almonds are a bit pointy for me. But I still enjoy them. ... show more

They are way longer than I needed so Ill probably get the short ones next time. Theyre great nails! I started by using the lamp I already had but that was a mistake because after I started using the one that comes with it Its clear that the light is stronger and helps it set better than my other one. If you plan on putting these on I would do it after you shower because they come off in hot water, only one or two pop off so you can just put new ones on to replace them if you want to keep the design or soak them in a bowl of hot water and theyll come off. Ive had them about a month and I get bored easy with the designs so it works for me. They rip up ur nails if you dont properly soak them and my nails feel very brittle after they come off which is fine cause I just cover them up again. All in all I enjoy them for fun, not bad for the price but since I have smaller nails the wide range of larger sizes are useless and you only really use a few of the sizes for about 3 months worth of nails if you switch them out every week and a half like I do. Im not very experienced in nails but I like the idea of using them to make my hands look thinner, sausage fingers amiright? If you want the nails really long I would get the coffin size but in the future Ill be getting the shorter one cause I end up cutting about half the nail off and shaping it anyway. ... show more

I have never used gel nails and only done acrylic a few times and these are perfect for beginners. No need to sand down the tip much, but I like a rounder tip so I did. These were a tiny bit sharper than I expected, but I didn't want a complete oval shape, so I think I made the right decision choosing these. The entire kit is very portable, like, it comes in this box that's probably not even 3"x3", and there's tons of tips included but they barely take up and space, neither does the lamp or the gel in the same little square box. I was confused when I saw just the tube of gel of how I was going to make the nails stronger but after putting the nails on I saw how sturdy the nails were, and after painting them I forgot I didn't build any gel up like you do with acrylic nails. They last weeks and when I wanted to switch my first set (similar to this but red polish) it was ironically easy (not like immediately popped off but I didn't have to really pry them off, and it didn't harm my nail bed to do so) to take them off without soaking, but you definitely should, lol. The lamp is very strong despite it's size; if anything, I was rushing to put my nails back into position when I accidentally moved before hitting the lamp; when I even went under the lamp for a LITERAL (not hyperbolizing, I recorded) second, the entire thing was already solidified, only still wet on the edges where my fingers were covering it. Your nails will be solidified in 5 seconds, I'm serious. Is that what's normal? I see videos and they take seem to take way longer. Anyway, great kit, I feel like a guru already 😌 (jk this is literally only my second set). Yeah buy it babe they're so quick and easy, they're like press on nails but way sturdier and you just have the lamp, just costs like 10 times as much as press ons – $3 press ons that only have like 12-24 nails in it and $1 glue that only lasts like a week vs this like barely $30(s&h included) kit with like hundreds of nails in it and the lamp that cures in 5 seconds and gel that will last 2-3 weeks at least.     • The glue works great
If you like a full nail tip these are fine. I really liked the glue. I find the brush on works better than the thick stuff in a tube. It held on good without any issues or discoloration.
