    • Doesn't work
We were able to connect the phone to T-Mobile but not verizon. However the phone stopped working after 2 days. We were unable to make outgoing calls and it kept having us reset all of our passwords. Attempted to return it but was past the window.

    • Pretty good inexpensive Andriod phone
This phone runs an older version of Andriod (Andriod 11), so beware that it's an older OS. But it does work. And we've actually been pleasantly surprised at how well it works. In the first week of heavy usage (my wife uses her phone a lot), it seems like apps are running smoothly. Pros: *Inexpensive. This is a functional Android phone for a remarkably low price. *It comes with a suitable case. And it's held up to a couple good drops already. *Battery seems quite good. My wife gets a full day out of it even with heavy use. *Runs all the apps we've needed it to. *Camera seems adequate. And it does have both rear-facing and front-facing cameras. Middling quality, but not bad. *Random and interesting extra feature: the phone has a thermometer along with the LED and camera lenses, so you can use this phone to take someone's temperature, and it seems pretty accurate. (Maybe this was a COVID-era feature?) *The side fingerprint sensor works really well. It's in a pretty convenient spot, and it seems very responsive, and it even works with sweaty fingers. It's been a pleasant surprise, and it's been better than my wife's two previous Motorola phones. Cons: *We've had issues with voicemail. We're on Verizon, and this apparently isn't compatible with Verizon Visual Voicemail. *There's no swipe up to see all your apps in alphabetical order. Your apps just go on the home screens, so to find something, you either need to locate it or do a Google search to find it. That's pretty annoying. If you use a lot of different apps, that could become a significant annoyance. *Old version of Android. This runs Android 11, which is already a few years out of date. So right out of the box you'll be a few years behind newer Android phones. *Facial recognition for unlock works intermittently, and generally not very well. ... show more

    • Can't seem to get a certain app to work
First off, this looks nice and includes both a protector and cover, which is great as I wouldn't know what size to order. The specific reason I got this though was so that my husband can use it to run Android Auto for navigation using his regular cell phone as a hot spot. He has the app and even reinstalled it and can't get it to work. Other features seem as to be expected. Probably a 4 if my purpose was different, but really a 2 because it is not useful to use, so I'm averaging it out at a 3. ... show more

I ordered this cell phone for my mother, who is a senior citizen and who isn't tech-savvy. She just needed a phone without all of the gadgets, bells and whistles. In other words, she needed something that she could easily dial out on, and receive calls. This phone hands down meets all of her needs. If you're looking for a simple phone, and you don't care about the quality of the camera, having tons of space/storage, etc. Then this phone is worth the try. I got this phone as a secondary phone for the house, to put home automation apps and other things I don't need on my main phone to bog it down. Overall this is a nice phone. It didn't come pre-loaded with any garbage-ware as most name-brand phones do. It runs very smooth, even loaded down with a lot of big apps; the DuraSpeed, which lets you select which apps can run in the background, seems to really help. Mainly the camera isn't great, and it only has mono sound, not stereo as listed. I was worrying about finding a case but was surprised that it includes a basic case that's adequate. NOTE: Comes with screen-protector already installed under the promo display on the screen! Carefully peel the white flag from the top-right corner down. Phone seems decent quality (back is plastic). Screen is decently bright (turn off auto brightness, it's awful!) and has good viewing angles from all sides. It is only 720p, but I don't notice. Extra programmable button is great for often-used apps, like web browser, texting. Has headphone jack. Arrives with ~115GB free. 2021-06 security update (probably no more). MediaTek Helio G25 CPU, 4GB RAM. Developer mode available. Battery reports as 6150mAh; AccuBattery test estimated ~5500mAh. Battery worked fine down to 8% (I didn't drain it any lower). Charged at 10W. Worked better with old dumb chargers and cables. I accidentally hooked 10V up (don't ask) and it warned of a bad charger overloading it, no apparent damage. AVOID included charger and cable. Charger has a high ripple (364mV p-p, 10x worse than good chargers) and cable would get stuck in the phone and other things I tried. * T-Mobile SIM worked fine. microSD worked fine for photos and music. * Fingerprint reader was pretty reliable (except with wet fingers). * Sound can get fairly loud. Only mono, not stereo as listed (I checked system options to be sure). * Thermometer is interesting. Its object readings differed from my non-contact thermometer by a few degrees. Hard to take self-readings due to screen facing away as you measure. * Bluetooth worked fine with several devices. Nice features: + Programmable button. * DuraSpeed to keep background apps inactive. Minor issues: - Cameras aren't great. - Mono, not stereo. - Poor charger and potentially-damaging cable; use your own! ... show more

This phone powered up and connected to my wifi with ease. I'm downloading the updates and I'll play around with it's capabilities with apps. The camera takes clear pics! Great phone to have for a backup.
