I have actually sold mattress protectors when I sold mattresses. This is very soft and seems to be constructed very well, seems to be be water resistant and quite soft. It fit perfectly over my 16" mattress and my three inch mattress topper, so far so GOOD!! Oh and it's pretty!!!

A full glass of red wine was spilled on the bottom sheet. Not one drop made it to the mattress and the stain came out of the cover! Originally purchased for a cal king and today buying another for a queen mattress. Thin, Comfortable and quiet too.

While this may not be 100% waterproof, it works better than some and it is very cozy and plush on top. It does a good job under some circumstances but if you need true waterproof I'd recommend putting a plastic sheet underneath it. That way you have added protection and the comfortable softness of this mattress protector. We have a special needs person at our house who has an incontinence problem, so we have put this sheet through a lot and it does pretty well. We have tried quite a few of this sort of product and this one is the softest and retains it's plush feel after a LOT of washing. These will leak some if there is a lot of liquid. If you aren't worried about incontinence issues then I really can't recommend it more, it is a very nice product. ... show more

I haven't needed to check the water proofing, and don't know how well the dust mite protection works, but this seems to be a decent mattress cover for the money. It is comfortable on my Sleep Number twin XL, and is not too hot. The only complaints I have are: 1) Washing per the instructions is a bit of a pain, and takes a while before everything is dry. Ultrablock recommends washing before first use. After this inital and 1 subsequent washing, per Ultrablock's recommended schedule, the soft flannel-like side is starting to look like it is degrading, trying to 'pill' in the center of the cover. Doesn't feel uncomfortable, just not sure how long it will last. 2) Even when first put on the bed, it seems to fit a bit less than snug, and by the end of a week it sometimes bunches up under the sheet. I have thought of using some soft-clip sheet tensioner straps to hold it tighter from side to side, but don't know if the Ultrablock elastic skirt is strong enough for use of these straps. Maybe just a problem for Sleep Number mattresses? (But my fitted twin sheets fit well, so...) At any rate, it seems decent enough - my previous mattress covers were expensive, didn't have these issues - but didn't survive the first washing. Time will tell how well it holds up, and hope I never have to test the rater proof claims! Update: After my review, the manufacturer reached out to me and determined that the original mattress pad was possibly defective. They sent me a new one at no charge. I asked them about using the Jajaplus bed sheet securing straps sold on amazon to keep the pad taught and prevent wrinkling under the sheet (garter style closures instead of sharp tooth clamps like most sheet straps). They responded that these should work fine without damaging the pad. The new pad arrived within days of our conversation, and the Jajaplus straps have eliminated the problem with crease appearing under the sheet, so everything is great. Re-marked the rating as 5 stars because: 1) The manufacturer follows user comments, showing interest in their qualkity control 2) They had rapid response and resolution of a problem 3) They worked with me on an unusual request about their product (use of sheet straps). ... show more

Review for the UltraPlush Waterproof Mattress Protector Quiet Cover - King sized. Before the review I quicky wanted to say; I purchase quite a bit from Amazon because I'm disabled and I rely on these reviews. However, I stay reluctantly skeptical because of all the "review cheating' going on. Just so you know, we were not paid nor given this product or any incentive to review, we are just normal people with no stake in the fight (so to speak.) A very very, picky, negative and extremely particular person with OCD (my boyfriend), purchased this mattress pad for his king-size mattress. We looked through mattress pads & their reviews for days and days. (He is so picky and reluctant that it often takes literal YEARS for him to purchase an item.) He wanted something as soft as a sheet, washable, no noise (crinkly like you get with many waterproof sheets), and something that didn't make you sweat when you sleep on it. After checking out many of these we settled on this one because of the video review on it where the guy actually touched and showed the product throughly, and 99% of the reviews seemed positive. He wasn't disappointed! This sheet so far is perfect! It is VERY quiet. It washed well but took a while to dry, so he recommends putting in 2 dry towels when drying it, and "catch it on spin to turn the furry side out," (He is dictating this review because he has been contemplating the purchase of his own laptop for at least 10 years now but hasn't purchased one yet, and don't even get me started on the lack of internet service at his house!) It fits the bed really well, and it's so quiet you can't even tell it's on the bed!!! This has been an excellent purchase, so if you are looking for a well-fitting, washable, comfortable, quiet waterproof sheet/mattress pad; THIS IS THE ONE!!!
