  • Good speakers
I have an older Samsung plasma tv and the TV speakers are bad. These speakers may not be top of the line but so far, I am very happy with the volume and the base that it does produce. I cant afford the top of the line surround sound but these are big upgrade compared to my tv speakers. I Pretty happy. I like that they provided all the hook up options in the package. Surprised that they didn't include batteries for the remote though. I do like this option of having a single sound bar or two separate speakers. ... show more

  • Quality Sound and Apperance with Many Nice Features = Gooood Value ...
When I stumbled across this new product being available at a decent price point compared to so many others out there had decided to give it a try as an upgrade to only having a TV for a recent bedroom remodel. It had been a wise choice. First the sizing is fine where it had been placed. Overall the bar is 3ft in length by 3" in height with a 4" depth. When split they become approx 17" each. The added feature that this product can b split up into 2 seperate bars to give the hearing impression of truer stereo sound such as with old style normal speakers is a big plus along with the fact there's now more added variables as to placement instead of being stuck with that single choice of the long length. AND when the choice is chosen to split the bar into 2 - they supplied each with an easily attachable/detachable base mount so they stand up instead of lying down - chose this here and worked out well in my personal scenario. They had also included an adequate '8ft' length of cable to hookup spkr to spkr. which makes for a decent spread between the 2 wherever placed. When used this way the one bar has all of the 'touch' controls on its top and all connections recessed on the rear while the other has only the input for the spkr to spkr for its operation. IF choice would've been to use as a single bar the controls would therefore b on the one side - connections would then b in center rear. There's also included hardware for wall mounting and the bar itself has installed padding on its one side if simply placed on a cabinet or whatever. As for hooking up - the procedure was a breeze even thou a small detailed booklet of the how-to-do had been included. Thou i only chose the older 3-cable av style hookup over to the tv instead of the single optical or a bluetooth type for now - they included an optical cable. The typical 'av' chosen had an adequate 6ft length which just hooked up to the 'aux' port of the soundbar. The newer style TV has em all + more but for now it was fine this way. The product uses a 120v 1amp in/2.5amp out adapter thats included to obtain juice in order to operate the bar - the cables an adequate 76" (6ft 4") in length. The installation went well and all its included features operate easily. The included remote which is (6" by 2" wide and 1/2" deep) had been easily figured out as to whats for what and complete any changes to the bars various features - it works just fine (thou it takes 2 'aaa' battreys - which r 'NOT' included). When the bars powered on theres also a small bright white led that shines on the front of that main side speaker which also emits abreviations as to which mode the bars in when a different mode is selected which is ez enough to accomplish bv simply holding the power button - when say 'bluetooth' is chosen - the lil lite bar blips like 4 bars in length to give time to enter the coding needed for hookup (the codes listed in the manual). There is no power off option - instead the unit has a 'timed out' feature when not in use for so long in that it simply shuts itself off - nice for $aving a bit of juice. Now on to the sound quality - which is like the main idea of these products over typical lame tv inclusions. Yes this one has it's own 3-level 'bass boost' feature and delivers em easily with a touch thou its not like having a set of old style huge speaks with 15" woofs, some midranges and tweets - NOR a large stand alone subwoofer. They do state '100watt peak' thou thats all in how measured - back in the day true100watt speakers would rattle windows n have neighbors callin the cops - but thats back when stuff was 'solid state' n used 'tubes' which all changed in the 80's - that 100 became 250 for same. SO lets just say this here bars sound qualities adequate - delivers non-screechy highs without over-vibrating lows and its well beyond the performance quality of most any if not all integral TV's speakers. Theres also an EQ feature where u can choose different highs n lows of frequencies - a nice touch for the picky ones out there. Yes all in all this ones worth its pennies asked for in the current bidenflationary times so can recommend it as a gooood buy. Do they actually still make 'pennies' - can only wonder why they'd still make any coinage at all for that matter (lol) ... show more

  • Took a bit but great!!!!
First, I’m just your average person. I’m not a sound fanatic, just enjoy good tv. My husband installed these for me. Took some time and ultimately he ended up needing to use the optical cable (provided) as the recommended HDMI-ARC would not work for us at all. We have older smart Samsung TVs and this is par for that course. I’m going to need a new TV as LEDs are damaging and we hope a newer TV will be an easier setup than we experienced. It did take at least an hour. Once done, I thought it sounded echo-y, but we switched it to “game” from “movie” and it’s fantastic! The options of Movie, Game or Music is a bit narrow but Game, for me, was great for streaming a normal show. It’s crisp, balanced, detailed - can go very, very loud if you like. I’m impressed with this! It has adjustable bass and treble. It’s kept pretty simple though, which I like! I wouldn’t say it’s as good as our actual surround sound system in our family room but it beats the TV speakers by far. It’s also very much cheaper 🤷♀️ I particularly liked this sound bar as they could be divided in two and set up like speakers! I like the remote, we haven’t figured out how to use the Roku remote for the speakers or vice versa. Just didn’t get around to it. There are lights on the speaker but the ability to totally turn them off even when on, thankfully. Pretty nice item. I’d recommend! Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Easy Set Up and Great Sound
This is a great sound bar for people on a budget. The design is really neat in that it can be used as a solid one-piece sound bar or separated into two individual speakers. I went with the solid one-piece sound bar and installed in underneath our TV. It comes with screws and wall anchors to mount it on the wall, which I may do in the future, but for now it is resting on top of our entertainment center. Connecting and setting up the sound bar was a breeze. It comes with several different cords for connecting to your TV. I initially used the fiber optic audio cable, but I didn't like that I couldn't change the volume with our TV remote. I switched to HDMI and plugged it into the arc output on the TV, which allows me to use the TV remote to control the volume. It also comes with another set of audio cables in case your TV doesn't have fiber optic or hdmi arc outputs. The sound quality is SO much better than the default TV speakers. It has a great range and decent bass. It can be super loud too - though we usually keep it down to avoid waking our toddler. Overall, I'm thrilled with this sound bar and so glad we ordered it. If you're in the market for a budget sound bar, I highly recommend ordering this one. ... show more
