    • Virtual surround, does not decode Dolby or DTS
I want to be clear that nothing in the listing is incorrect. The problem is that some details are omitted. This system does not work with Dolby or DTS. While I had an inkling this was the case, I believe the average customer could miss it and end up disappointed. What does this system do? It takes a stereo PCM signal and makes it surround. It boasts using a sound processor to do this. In practice, the right channel sounds like it is played both on the front right and rear right, and the left sounds like it plays on the front left and rear left. The effect is pretty simple, but can make a movie seem more lively. It doesn't make sense for music and dialog will sound odd. I recommend turning down the surround effect for simple spoken scenes or shows. The small subwoofer does a pretty good job, especially if placed near you. I have no complaints with it and it seems to be well matched to the rest of the speakers. The sound bar and surround speakers are a little "thin" and more directed towards the treble. Mixed with the sub set to the right level for the room/material you are listening to, the sound can be pretty balanced. Electronic or more party-ish music is fun on these even in surround mode. This system is a great value as long as you are okay with a virtual surround setup and understand the limitations. A real amp with real speakers will beat this, but cost more.     • Pretty compact & decent sound system
I got this to replace my other wired soundbar & subwoofer. This was packaged nicely with everything I needed to hook it up in a few different ways. It has RCA, HDMI, OPTICAL, & BLUETOOTH. The Bluetooth way of hooking this system up is by far the one that has little to no losses in sound. It's much louder than a wired set up. I used the fiber optic option which still allows me to use the Bluetooth if I want. The thing that makes this unit stand out is the wireless transmission to the subwoofer. The two surround sound wall speakers use an RCA plug that connects to the sub. That let's me put the sub & speakers as far away from the soundbar as needed without having to run a super long cable to reach the sub. It's a decent system. I'd like to see an EQ on the system that would allow me to adjust the levels individually though. It has a button for base & surround to turn them up or down. It has 3 settings for audio that is labeled as movie, vocal, & music. I would just like to have more control over the sound with a 5 band EQ or 7 band which would be better. But all in all it's an easy system to hook up & an easy system for people who don't want to worry about all the EQ band settings.     • Great System
The set-up is fairly straight forward. The sound bar hooks up to the TV via one of a few different means and plugs into a wall outlet. The subwoofer plugs into a wall outlet also and gets wired to the two small speakers. The sound bar and the subwoofer are connected via Bluetooth. If you do a full surround set-up with the sub and speakers behind you, you'll need to use a wall plug along that wall. There are some wires but nothing like the spiderweb of wires in old systems and what's here is easy to hide for a clean look. The remote has buttons for each of the available methods to connect to the TV. You select the right button to control the system with the remote depending how it's hooked up. (ARC/BT/OPT/AUX). The set-up instructions are presented in a linear and clear/logical manner that is easy to follow. Additionally, you can connect your phone (or other device) to the sound bar via Bluetooth to play music/videos/etc through the sound system. Everything I've played through it has sounded great.     • Simple setup
This mini surround system comes with 3 different options to connect to your TV and all wires are included. Optical in, Aux, and ARC which kinda looks like an HDMI port but my TV didn’t have that option. It’s got a mini sound bar and 2 small speakers and a subwoofer. Easy to setup to bluetooth. I’m having trouble getting the sound out fr my TV but it’s the fault of my TV not this system. Not a full surround sound system but adds more volume and some bass to my living room. I don’t think there’s a way to add more speakers to it. One more thing, it doesn’t come with batteries for the remote. So make sure you have 2 AAA batteries. ... show more

Packaged well and clear instructions. We didn’t get sound at first and the fix was right in the book on what setting to have the tv at and viola the movie had sound. So many options to have this set up which is nice although we have not settled in a configuration yet. Definitely gets loud and adds something to the sound effects.
