This Ukoke USPA0112 4-in-1 12000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner Is amazingly powerful!!! This unit has cooling, heating, dehumidifier & fan mode. It also comes with a remote control, window exhaust kit and it says that it is Ideal for Rooms up to 400 Sq. ft, It is easy to transition between modes, we used the cooling and fan mode so far. I like the moving wind vent. It is great for optimal air distribution and circulation throughout your space. Now what our first time use and impression was. We just went through hurricane Beryl and got our power back after 5 days. I can tell you that this unit did an AMAZING job! It was running NONSTOP for 5 days! We have a generator and was able to run these 2 portable AC's in the pic the other one is smaller than this unit. Plus had 2 fridges , 1 freezer all ceiling fans, 5 pedestal fans and 2 gaming computers running. I was afraid that this AC is going to be to much amp wise but it was fine. Did not use the window vent kit because we had it go through our doggie door. The doggie door (medium) was prefect size for this hose. Had to put a DIY insulation around the hose because it got hot but managed to do it perfectly. I will definitely buy a hose insulation for next time. It is a must have because you loose a lot of heat while cooling the space down. We added an extra hose with a coupler for more length to be able to move and turn the Ac towards the bedrooms that are at the end of our hallway. The hose was easy to move even with the DIY insulation on it. The last 2 pics were taken during the power outage. We had the smaller unit in our eldest bedroom so that was cooling that bedroom and blowing air to the hallway as well. This Ukoke unit cooled down the family room plus a big kitchen very nicely. And it is way more then 400 sq ft when turned at night it cooled down the hallway and all 3 rooms pretty quickly. We had all bedroom doors open. I can't praise this unit enough! It was a life saver. We would of melted otherwise ;) All the tech talk is great but what I wrote is through experiencing this Unit in an emergency situation! I highly recommend it!!! ... show more

    • The real value for this is 8150 BTU if comparing to window AC
Ok, first off, the BTU rating of this is misleading. The real value of it if comparing to a Window AC unit is 8150 BTU which is the SACC rating. This rating take into account the losses incurred by using the non-insulated hose for heat gain through that hose and other adjustments for having the components all in the house. Also, keep in mind that heating with this is NOT effective when the outside temperatures are low. You will supplimental heat source when the outside is 45 or under. So, the unit comes with a window vent kit, but the problem is that vent kit is only good for an opening up to 48 inches. If your opening is larger, it will not work!! My windows are 60 inches, so I had to go out and buy a different window kit since they do not offer extensions for this one. The unit itself is done well and the cord is long enough for most areas. One thing that is very different from the product page video is they do NOT show the hose connection that is required for AC or for Heat. That hose makes this less than the easy to move and put anywhere that they show. You need to be close (within 2 feet) of the adapter put into your window to exhaust air through. If you move it, remember you also need to remove the adapter from your window! so, a bit more involved than they show. For this to work correctly, you need to have a level floor for it. So, if your thought is to put it out in a sun room conversion of your patio, check to see if the floor is level!! Most floors in a converted patio are sloped. This needs to be level for water accumulation (condensation from cooling the air) and also if you use this in a dehumidifier mode. Instructions are fairly clear. Noise level is reasonable. Remote works as expected. A reminder, this unit will draw upwards of 10 amps when starting up the compressor. Most outlets are rated for 15 amps. So, check your breaker for the. Plug you want to use and ensure you do not have any other heavy current users on it. I think a window unit would be more efficient, but this would work well for rentals or for where HOA issues might prohibit a window unit. ... show more
