The media could not be loaded. I was searching for a small and portable audio interface, so I ordered this one (U22XT), and another ESI interface, the Neva Uno. I am positively suprised by the build quality. The design is a bit different (orange metal?), but i like it.😁 The driver appears to be very stable with low latency. Audio quality is really good but interestingly not much better than the cheaper Neva Uno. But unlike the Neva Uno, this interface has a separate line in and balanced out, so I’m keeping both because the Neva Uno is more portable (smaller and lighter), but the U22XT has a few extra useful features. ... show more

I have two of these, I use them at least twice per week, I have had one of them for years. Best ADC/DAC I have ever used, runs very reliably and predictably under Linux, I use them at 96kHz. Sound quality stellar. Very good manual knob controls.

This has a great sound. That's the main thing. It has a lot of included software, too. But I haven't used any of it ... at least not yet. I didn't need to download any drivers. As soon as I connected it to my PC, it was listed in the Audio Output / Input options. It's in stereo, though, with no ability to change it to mono. That's really the only thing it doesn't have that I wish it did. I've used another similar interface that allowed you to choose stereo or mono. So, if the developers are listening, maybe include that on the next model. But it does have great sound and a lot of features. ... show more

Interface feature set is promising (16 inputs - e.g., great for drum modules with lots of outputs). However, if you're using a Mac, be aware that the software (drivers and control panel) are still under development. As of this review, there is no control panel available for Mac, and the drivers are beta. And as to be expected with beta software, there are apparent bugs (e.g., when monitoring output from the Mac via the U168XT's headphone ports, the volume is louder out of the left channel than it should be - verified that this is a problem with the interface by swapping in another brand of interface and verifying that the problem doesn't exist). Has the potential to be great once the software is done, but for now be aware of issues if you're planning to use with a Mac. ... show more

I've been using SSL2 for more than 3 years, and I was thinking to buy something cheaper for my second system, so I got this interface which is a complete package. Let me start with the interface works great and I could connect my guitar and mic together. Microphone is good enough for recording a podcast or just talk and record, but not for singing because while I was recording, I could hear a lot of noise in my recording. Headphones are good enough for a professional studio. To wrap this up, if you are a beginner, this probably will work for you, but not for professional music makers. ... show more
