iPad model: Air, 4th Generation, A2316 Pencil: Yes. First try: Received a product from Amazon that did not fit. I reached out to support, annoyed, and they wanted to check the product code, so I sent them the photos of stickers on both the packet and the case. Second try: Requested a refund and replacement, because I was getting impatient. Amazon sends me a "TypeCase Flex" instead of a "TypeCase Touch". If you do not know the difference, TypeCase has both a keyboard and a touchpad, whereas "flex" only has a keyboard. Taking a deep breath, I start writing my email to the TypeCase support - "This is getting ridiculous..". But - I noticed that the keyboard felt great even for the non-fitting touch TypeCase, and the case was solid. Not too heavy, but the right amount of sturdy. Third try: Requesting a full refund this time, I bought a TypeCase Touch, with green color this time. That came the next day, and fit perfectly without trying much at all. And it was not too tight or loose - just the right amount of fitting. Now, onto the actual review of the case that fits: The case is great! In fact, it is so good that I immediately decided that I am not annoyed anymore with the first and second tries (it was probably Amazon's fault anyway). The battery works, the trackpad/touchpad is awesome, supports multi-gesture, and the 360 hinge works as intended. I should mention that the hinge is very slightly wobbly when it is in laptop mode while I am typing, but that's okay. Compared to some other premium keyboard cases out there, this comes at the fraction of the costs of those premium products, while still offering a keyboard and a trackpad that feels premium. Did I mention that it has backlights and USB-C? The only thing that can be improved at this point is to move the pencil holder from the side to the magnetic zone so that it can be held securely and charged at the same time. But I doubt then the touch-charging the pencil will work anymore. So it has got to stay where it is. Not that it is a bad placement or gets in the way in any conceivable way. To summarize / Tl; DR: This is one of the best keyboard and touch cases I have ever used and purchased, and it is worth every single dollar. Period. Grab this, and if you get a product that does not fit, request a replacement and a refund. Repeat maybe until you get it right because TypeCase deserves those additional chances. ... show more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE style cases. Now, I wouldn't call it durable. But the versatility this brings is amazing. Pros: -I like the blue color, goes nicely (a little off color) with my Blue iPad Air. I think this is the better blue to be honest, on the keyboard. -Great typing experience with a trackpad. -Flexibility. Typing mode on a comfortable sized keyboard, movie stand mode, or tablet mode. All while being able to fold it to protect the screen. -Light diffusion. I have astigmatism, meaning double vision. The led lights on these are nice and well diffused. On a lot of the "Cheaper" keyboards, you can REALLY see the individual RED, GREEN, and BLUE LEDS mixing and matching to make colors with a simple head tilt. This does a good job (not amazing) of masking that. -NOT ANNOYING TRI-COLOR ZONE ILLUMINATION; I don't know why or how this became a trend with all of these types of cases but its getting harder and harder to find SINGLE COLOR Backlighting keyboards. Everyone seems to be doing this COLOR BANDING NONSENSE. Now this does have a "rainbow shimmer" mode, but you can choose an all white, all red, all green, etc, keyboard. It's not Red Zone, Yellow Zone, Blue Zone. -Holding the tablet to draw- Oddly does make holding the ipad to draw/write while standing, kind of easy. Cons: -Protection: I don't buy these as a PROTECTION case, I buy it as a keyboard/laptop convertible for my ipad. It's great for protecting the screen and that's about it. -Weight Distribution: Double edged sword this one, though, makes it hard to use this in a lap since the tablet is almost 2x the weight of the case, so it gets top-heavy fast. Conclusion: Great color, great keyboard, great case. After discovering these with the GIANT 12.9 iPads haven't gone back. Just wished they made these for the Samsung line. ... show more

The keyboard is sturdy enough to be both a typing tool and a protective case for your tablet. The keyboard lights up with a variety of colors and brightness. i am using this with an iPad Air and all the function keys work with my tablet. The keyboard uses a USB-C connection to charge the battery. The battery life is decent. Because it connects via Bluetooth, I think that draws on the battery to a greater degree. I am comparing this to a previous tablet and keyboard that used the older “Smart Connector” technology that Apple had with the first generation iPad Pro. I use the keyboard frequently, and I can get close to 3 months on a charge. The Bluetooth connectivity is not bad, but not great. The biggest complaint is how quickly the keyboard will disconnect when inactive, presumably to preserve battery life. You will get about 2 minutes before the keyboard disconnects. To reconnect, you just need to tap any key. it only takes about 3 seconds to reconnect and you are good to go again. Still - just a minor frustration when you use the keyboard often. Overall - I would recommend this keyboard as a tool and case. After about 6 months of use - I am pleased enough that I would buy again despite the minor inconveniences. ... show more
