Warranty Description: SureGuard warrants to the owner of each its products that if the laminate, fabric or zipper becomes damaged within a period of 10 years from the date of purchase as a result of normal household use, SureGuard will replace the protector provided the care instructions have been followed. The warranty covers the protector product only. Purchase receipt must be retained and presented to validate the warranty. For commercial purchases (non-household purchases) the warranty is reduced from 10 years to 2 years. All conditions and exclusions still apply. Exclusions - the warranty does not cover (i) Protectors that have been neglected, mishandled or abused; (ii) stains or other damage caused by nail polish, inks cosmetics, bleach, non-food related grease, corrosives, chemicals, alcohol or dyes; (iii) stains or other damage occurring prior to or during delivery or while the mattress is in or being moved into or out of storage or being moved between residences; (iv) stains or damage caused by, or the result of mold or mildew; (v) damage caused by animal beaks, teeth or claws; (vi) stains or other damage caused by or related to fire (including water damage), smoke, flood or other natural disaster, theft or vandalism, or any other loss that is covered under an insurance policy; or (vii) stains or other damage caused by structural problems or appliance malfunctions such as, but not limited to, leaks from the air conditioners, skylights, roofs water heaters or water pipes.

    • Able to install solo on a very heavy latex mattress

I have a 6-inch thick very heavy latex mattress plus a 2 inch memory foam topper, and did the installation over both mattress and topper on my own with the mattress & topper still lying down on my platform bed. (I think would take about 4 strong men to stand this mattress on end, or better yet tilt the entire bed platform & mattress upright--totally not an option for me.) Amazingly, I was still able to install the encasement. Yes, it took about about 75 sweaty minutes to finish the job. I went slowly, drawing the encasement down just a few inches on one side, then going to the other side to draw that one down to match. I also inserted a few plasic chocks, as I went, to make it easier to reach way under the heavy latex to find and pull the encasement down another few inches under the mattress. The hardest part was the velcro fastener, which kept catching on the encasement folds. I finally solved that problem by temporarily attaching each side of the velcro to its partner (if they had come loose, I'd recommend temporarily taping the velco sides together). Overall, I am pleased with the encasement. It fits well, and looks like it will do the job. ... show more

This encasement was easy to install on a fairly thick mattress. Hopefully we wont' get bed bugs again, but it so this should keep them off the mattress itself. ... show more

Cover went on readily, zipper worked well, ‘seal’ Velcro area worked OK. Have removed it/washed it 2 times. Draped on clothes line to ‘drip out’ water retained after ‘spin’, in electric dryer 60 minutes on ‘medium’ heat. The ‘fluff side’ dries different than the rest… still a bit damp. After re-install on mattress, dampness ‘evaporated’ to feeling dry in 1-2 hours (depends on ambient room temperature). The 10 year warranty got my attention. So far…. it’s doing well. ... show more

The mattress cover has decent coverage. When you stand up you can hear it re inflate. It’s waterproof but not exactly breathable. It does have a layer of terry cloth like stuff on the top so it’s not hot. It does not crinkle or feel like your sleeping on plastic. It’s quite nice. Just make sure you order the correct depth of your mattress (Measure!!). The covers stretch a little but not a ton. It does have some Velcro covering the zipper. Easy to put on. I had to close my dogs in my bedroom and access through the doggie door to outside while I was having some work done on my house. Somebody got mad and peed on my king size mattress. I didn't find the pee until late that night, it had already dried and there was an 18" diameter spot of pee on the outside of this cover, but nothing inside and my mattress was completely undamaged. I am ordering a second one. I'll test this one after washing, but I want a spare just in case. It really saved my pillow top mattress and saved me hours of time cleaning and use of expensive cleaning products. It was easy to install, I was able to do it by myself. Love the zipper part it was super easy to put on and you could totally put on with one person. We have a 14.5 thick mattress and it fit perfectly with some wiggle room but not to much where it’s shifting. It doesn’t make any noise as the top is not plastic it’s a cloth type material. We didn’t notice any difference in our sleeping when we put it on, and definitely didn’t make us hot. ... show more
