As I'm sure many others have said, I never thought I'd write a raving review about nail clippers, yet here I am. These are the best nail clippers I've ever had. They are really good at, well, clipping nails. There's not really much else to say. The clipper parts themselves are very sharp. They clip clean through the nail instead of crushing them as some others do, so there aren't any scraggly bits on the nail left over. I don't even file my nails afterward anymore. They look nice, or at least as nice as a nail clipper can look, anyway. They don't have a built-in filer like some others have. One critique I do have is that the end where you hold the clippers at is kind of sharp. Not sharp enough to cut you, it's similar to how a table can have a sharp edge where it's not really rounded off. So the clippers can be uncomfortable to hold on to at certain angles, but it's easy to mess around with it for a few seconds and figure out how to hold it so it's not a problem at all. But the actual clipping of nails part, it is exceedingly good at. I 100% recommend it. ... show more

I have had numerous nail clippers over the years and never really gave it much thought. In researching nail clippers, I can across some reviews of numerous brands. These Tweezerman clippers received great reviews. It seemed that reviewers talked about good quality steel and very sharp cutting edges as they cut cleanly rather than a more dull blade that left a more rough cut that may snag on fabrics or need filing. Here's the deal, my toenails are very thick and hard to cut. I actually broke my previous clippers in half trying to cut them and I needed to get new ones. These clippers cut easily and cleanly. The large clippers are great for toenails and the small ones do a great job on my finger nails. The angle of the curve seems to make it a bit more challenging to get below the nails, but once you get them, they make a very clean cut. The sharpness of the blades makes it so that they cut easily with little force. Because the cuts are so clean, I find that my fingernails don't chip as often as they used to. These are nice. They work well. Not top notch quality, but very good. Disappointing that there are no nail cleaners on them. When and why did the under the nail cleaners disappear? Are we going backwards in time? I haven’t seen nail cleaners on a lot of clippers lately. The clippers at drugstores and WM are not good anymore, but get them for the nail cleaners. ... show more

I can't believe I've lived many many decades before discovering Tweezerman! These nailclippers are far superior to any other little sets I've had over the years. Other sets might be cute or come with other accessories or rest in an adorable case, but these cut well. They're not perfect and sometimes I have a sharp edge on my nail, as others have said, but I think that's the nature of cutting nails -- they're not going to be soft and curved, that's what a nail file is for. I love the big size for cutting my cats' nails - far better than any other products for it -- and the little ones are mine. I've bought these for many members of my family. Is important to note that these finger and toenail clippers have no bells and whistles. Which, for this product would be an attached collapsible nail file and lever positioner. Other than that, they’re a good value and seemingly well-made.
