I was pleasantly surprised when these cross bars arrived. They are sturdy and solid. The boots are metal. The directions are terrible and one of the allen wrenches supplied did not fit the screws. Also, the directions and diagrams are hard to read because the print is small. I figured out from reading other reviews, that the "bump" the directions poorly describe, need to point towards the front of your vehicle. This reduces wind noise. The "bump" is a series of raised bars that run the length of your bars. I would purchase these again. I have not detected any road/wind noise and the bars look awesome on my vehicle. ... show more

    • Clean the thread locker off the damn screws first
The screws provided have a CHEAP form of thread locker on them. They are cheap screws to begin with, heads ( Allen heads) strip easily. I figured out that if I remove the provided thread locker and use some Loctite available at most Auto parts stores. It was a very easy install. I used a brush and torch to melt remove crap from screws. ... show more

Seems, looks, feels like a good product. Just installed yesterday (22 Aug 2022) and have not used it yet. But, the install went very smooth and easily done by one person. Only reason for not rating a 5 star is that I don't have any experience using it yet to offer feelings on how well it will support weight and how well the finish of the materials will hold up. ... show more

Solid cross bars. The hardware leaves a lot to be desired. The supplied Allen wrenches aren't the best quality. I was able to mount everything but I would advise not to over tighten. The cheap hardware with strip out

    • assembly instructions are worhtless
This is a simple thing to install IF you ignore the instructions which are sadly almost backwards. Some pieces are miss-marked "Forwards" which contradict the instructions. Also, the screws that are suppose to bolt to the rail are rather soft and strip easily. Luckily they included two extra bolts. Other than that it seems like it is well made.. ... show more

    • Perfect fit for 2016 GMC YUKON XL
I bought two pairs to install four of them on my roof and they fit perfectly and helped reduced motion sickness issue in my car. Also completely stopped the roof from vibrating when going on highway. The ride has become more comfortable with four of them installed.

After a lot of research and calls this was the best solution for our 2018 Suburban. Simple 15 min install gave us a sturdy, sleek looking solution that is Le enough for parking structures but high enough for storage of our stuff! LOVE IT, and it’s affordable!!
