I'd been looking for some wider crossbars for the roof rack on my 2015 Subaru Forester before my next trip. Stay There's 54" Aero Aluminum Roof Rack Crossbars fit the bill perfectly. It's an excellent product at a good price. It arrived in a timely manner and was easy to install and adjust to make room for my Yakima Box and a Yakima HighRoad Bike Mount. I did a lot of research into these before picking these to buy. Dispute some negative reviews I figured I would give it a try. I have a 2020 GMC Acadia Denali so the review people had of these breaking off was very concerning as I didn’t want damage to my suv. Directions are very straight forward. Make sure the lock is unlocked on the one side where you put the Allen key in or it will not work. Make sure you research online the distance the bars should be from the windshield to place properly and reduce wind noise. My car has markers on the vertical bars but they are the same as the recommended distance online. I also took tightening with the Allen key a bit further. I tightened it with the long end first as tight as I could then put the small end in to have more leverage and tightened this as tight as I could. I tested driving up to 85mph and hardly any noise. Opened my sunroof and still couldn’t even tell they were there. I added kayak holders to mine and even with the kayak holders (mine fold down) there is little to no noise. I also transported a 10ft and 8ft kayak a few times with no issues. Obviously with the kayaks it is noisier but my longest trip with them was 1 hour 20 minutes on windy open roads at 75mph and had no issues. Definitely recommend these! ... show more

Bought several cross bars to try on our SUV (2017 Mercedes GLS 450) and this one, thanks to its very versatile/ universal design was the best fit for the price. I wish the profile of the anchors/ clips conformed better to the shape of our roof rails but ultimately the clamping power/ design of the anchoring system held in place great. I bought these for use with a cargo carrier and immediately put the combo to the test with little over1000mi of the high speed highway driving. They stayed put, and were quieter on the road than a much more expensive set of roof rails I have on another vehicle. Half way through the trip I gave them a slight crank just to re-tighten their connection. Overall happy, good value. ... show more

Fits a 2015 Subaru Forester. Took about an hour to install, instructions were not clear and had many mistakes, but figuring out what to do on my own was easy. Two of the four grippers has a lock to cover up the hex screw inside, making it more difficult to steal. Comes with two keys for the locks (not in photos). I'm wondering why all four grippers aren't lockable, which would make it the most secure. Overall, pleased with materials and design, and will update this review after road testing. June 2022: Roof rack is still going strong. It has been taken off and put on several times, which is not easy but the process is simple. Have made modifications (mostly trimming the rubber spacers) so that the rack can be positioned on a wider section of the rails. ... show more

Super sturdy, and it did fit even though Amazon said it wouldn't. My husband did trim the end caps just a tiny bit for them to fit just right with an extremely good seal. Good value for the money, and they're working great with my old roof box.

I've used this for about 3 years on my VW Tiguan, and they pretty much delivered (although a LOT of noise on a highway). Under the load and bad weather circumstances front bar was bent upwards. I've been trying to unscrew it for 6 months now, and i can't find original allen wrench - nowhere here, on their website, feedback form, customer support email, just radio silence. If anyone can share sixe and shape of aw - please. Tried my octagon bike set - neither worked. Stuck with this on my roof, despite already have replacement. Just dreadful. ... show more

Installed these on my 2019 GMC Terrain to facilitate the addition of a Cargo Box for traveling. Installation was fairly easy, but like most thinks, much easier if you have experience. So here is your experience if you are installing for a Cargo Box. Installation on the racks is pretty easy and straightforward. Move them as far back as possible to allow easier Box access. Make sure they are even...sticking out the same on bothe sides and square to the rails. Either measure very carefully or place the Cargo Box on before final tightening. The holes in the Cargo Box must be on accessed on both sides of the bar and place correctly for the front and back bars. This advice will half your installation time. Good product well priced...only issue is wind noise which is not surprising. Even without the Cargo Box, there is noticeable wind noise from these cross rails. I will try a few things to fix and modify this post if successful. Go ahead and buy this item if the coloring is correct for your rails.... good product. ... show more
