I haven't done one of these in years. I decided to buy one for my niece who enjoys art, I got one for me too. It does not look as good in person as online. Art is subjective, it still looks nice. It comes folded up in a box. Don't iron it. Lay it out flat under some heavy books a few days or stretch it on a frame. I recommend a magnifying glass to see some of the numbers. Overall pretty happy with it for my first attempt at a paint by numbers. Quality of the paint wasn't the best, specifically, the browns were pretty thin and required numerous coats to cover the canvas. But for the price, it's a good value. I would purchase again. I love paint by numbers. They definitely help me wind down and relax. I usually prefer to do more colorful painting but my husband requested this for his office at work. It’s got some really fine details but it turned out awesome.

Very vibrant colors, the picture is very neat and paint brushes are surprisingly good quality or at least they seem to be. Here’s the reason I only give it three stars. The map it comes with, and the actual canvas are almost impossible to see what color goes where on the really small sections. Like there’s some I just guessed on because you can’t read the number or it’s just a blob of ink. The way I would suggest fixing would be to not only number, but maybe color the sections lightly when printed. They send a map and they send a little 3 inch picture of it completed for reference however it’s tiny. If you sent even a 6 inch picture print of it completed I probably could’ve guessed better. That’s just a rough idea, but it is actually impossible to see some of them. The other complaint I have is- would it really cost that much more for you all to send a little extra paint for all of the colors? It’s a little stressful because you know you’re barely gonna have enough paint. I thinned a couple of them out as well because some of the paint is a lot thicker/dry than the other tubs. I am extremely disappointed with the WHITE DOVE "Paint by Numbers" Kit I purchased for my 93-year-old mother. I carefully researched before choosing her first paint-by-numbers kit and selected this one, despite the higher price, because it included a frame, stretched canvas, an easel, and everything needed to begin this project. It wasn't a folded canvas in which you need to iron out to get the creases out. She was so excited to start—but unfortunately, the kit had some issues. The main problems were: 1. The paint colors provided do not match the ones shown in the advertisement. The colors we received are much darker and duller, making the painting look nothing like the vibrant image in the marketing materials. The colors are not the correct ones if you compare them to the ones in the ad. Take a look at the 2 photos I am attaching. 2. The kit is missing paint pods! It is missing numbers 22, 23, and 24, making it impossible to complete the painting! 3. There is no customer service phone number, making it very difficult to get help or request a resolution. Amazon does not have anything to do with this issue! I have attached a photo showing the difference in the paint colors and the missing pods. The kit arrived completely sealed, confirming that the issue originated from the company, not from Amazon. How this should be made right: Given the cost of this kit and my mother’s excitement for this project, I expected much better quality and accuracy. I hope the company will take responsibility and either: Send a correct replacement kit with the advertised colors and all necessary paint pods. Offer a full refund if a replacement is not possible. Send a different kit of similar quality and style, as long as it includes all the correct colors and no missing paint pods. It doesn’t have to be the dove—another beautiful design from their collection would be acceptable. If you’re considering purchasing this kit, be aware that the colors may not match the advertisement, and there’s no clear way to contact customer service for help. I truly hope the company will read this review and will kindly resolve this issue, as my mother was so excited to paint this beautiful dove. If we don't hear back from anyone then of course I will tell potential customers to RUN and not buy their paint by number kits from this company! I would say take your money and buy from a different company. I just believe that when you are buying something from a company, as a customer... you are buying in confidence that the company is sending you everything they are advertising in their AD and if something is wrong, you are hoping they will make things right & correct because customer satisfaction is always key! ... show more
