I tend to shed a lot, especially in the bathroom, and while I've tried shower drain covers, tub drain covers, and just going without and trying to carefully pick hair out, eventually the drain would get clogged and unpleasant. A relative had this installed in their bathroom and while I initially balked at the design (it juts out and doesn't look as seamless as a traditional cover), I've just gotten so tired of constantly trying to get every last bit of hair or other nasty bit of whatever out of the drain cover, and caved and got a TubShroom. The combo pack comes with a plug that can be swapped out, and some additional rings to fit more drains. I found that I didn't need the additional rings, but was grateful that they were included to make this cover usable for a broader range of tubs. As for the design... this is just so clever! Whereas the original drain cover would've only provided drainage on one flat dimension, the TubShroom is a perforated cylinder giving more surface area for water to pass through. And while the top of the TubShroom sticks out and can look more obvious and not as sleek, it is a convenient area to pick up and grip the drain protector so that you can take out all that's been collected using a tissue without coming as directly into contact with whatever you're cleaning out. It's also a full replacement for a drain cover so you can clean out all sides of it. No more unintentional, dirty foot baths for me! ... show more

I think this handy dandy gadget is perfect and a match made in heaven, my hubby will thank me later. I wanted to try it out the instant I got it, so I popped it in and off fell stands of hair, after my shower I popped the thing right out of the drain then lo and behold, there was my lovely hair sitting in the catch! I’m so excited to show my hubby in the morning, he’ll thank me and it’ll become his new best friend considering he was pulling out clumps of my hair weekly (and letting it sit on the side of the tub for a little show and tell) and having to buy draino monthly lol It comes with plenty of attachments where it’ll fit in multiple size drains. Writing this from my husband's account since thats where we bought it from. Now... I know I shed more than a very floofy doggo that hasn't been brushed in a long time. My hair is everywhere all the time, yet my hair is still crazy thick. Its also super coarse on top of it. Yay me 😒 but I digress. I was still surprised to see just how much hair comes out when I shower. This little thing works. This is how much hair was in there after only two showers from me and one from my husband. I'm fully convinced that it got every single hair too with how much there was. It was also super easy to clean. I used a baby wipe and got it clean with two swipes. This little guy works great. I had the flat cover type hair catcher and my cats kept yanking it out. This little guy is sturdy and makes it impossible for my cats to remove. This also does not have any sharp prongs or edges. This has replaceable seals to adjust to bigger drains. I am using the one that comes attached to the shroom. The way I know this little guy is working is because when i start showering the water flows great and when it has caught some hairs my water starts pooling. May not seem like a big deal, but this product saved my sanity. My teenage daughter has long hair and has continuously clogged the bathtub drain and caused the water to drain slowly. She wouldn't say anything to me to indicate a drain blockage, my younger son ended up telling me the water drained slowly. I would routinely go in and pour drain cleaner to correct the problem, but over time that will mess up PVC plumbing. I search Amazon and reviewed several products and settled on this one based on customer reviews. It was so simple to install and has worked great. I now have my daughter clear the drain protector once a week and since we have been using it the drain has not clogged and the water drains fast from the tub. Great. Fits perfectly. Suction power is alright, can’t expect much more when it’s practically a stopper, gets the job done. I still need to use Drain-O here and there but has significantly improved how often I used to use drain-o like once or twice a week with my thick hair down to my rear, I now only use drain-o once a month to once every 2 months with the TubShroom. No more using a pipe cleaner or pick end of a small comb to weave the hair out of the drain with. Easy to remove. Kinda fun to clean after shower due to hair and body products coating the hair making it slimey 😝 only thing is I am absolutely petrified of stepping or tripping on it otherwise it is a fantastic tool to have. I had the original tubshroom for a couple years but due to its material it lacks adequate amount of draining and still allows clogs easily. For the price you’re better off with a 98 cent Walmart hair stopper honestly. This fixes all that. It’s metal and offers way more drainage while actually doing what it’s advertised too. No matter how much hair I wipe off it the tub never backs up-which was a problem I had using the original one. It’s worth the price and I’m glad I gave it a chance. ... show more

One shower always gets clogged (mostly with hair) and I've done the "liquid that won't harm your pipes" thing so often, I almost bought stock in the company. Then I read a review about this item and Alexa was kind enough to tell me it was on sale.
