  • Great tiller for woman to use!
Finally, a tiller that doesn’t pull me like a horse! I have some very large garden beds that have taken me hours to tend to every spring. I used to have a much bigger corded tiller that would pull me so hard it felt dangerous and intimidating. I always shy away from gas powered tools bc I’m never strong enough to pull the cord, but this one is relatively easy to start. Getting it to start after set up took a lot more tries than the instructions stated, but I saw a you tube video which helped. I like how when you’re not tilling the motor still runs so you don’t have to keep starting it. I also like how you can easily adjust the speed of tilling with a lever, which makes you feel more in control. This is the perfect size tiller for small to medium jobs! ... show more

  • Works well and starts easily
Tiller works very well for light duty weeding. Starts easily but easy to flood if choke is on too long while starting. Only down side is the wheels. They tend to get stuck if the ground is soft. Would have been nice to have a depth bar in addition to the wheels so you can control the depth better. So far working as expected. ... show more

  • Works great!
Very easy to start! Doesn't take a mix. Great for small spaces and breaking up soil clods.

  • Made in USA??
Did some research before buying the tiller. First it has great feedback. Then looked up where it's made. Was sure before even looking, it was going to be made in China. What a pleasant surprise - it's made right here in the Good ol' USA! That sold me! Our people; American workers; maufacturing and building light weight utility machines. Something like that could catch on! There isn't much to assemble. You pull the machine straight up out of the heavy-duty box, tighten the handles, mount the wheels, and add the "included" bottle of 30W oil to the engine. Troy-Bilt even had the air cleaner and sparkplug installed. The engine only needs 3oz of oil. I'm going to keep the bottle the supplied oil came in. That way I can fill the bottle with fresh oil and it'll be the correct amount ready to go without needing to measure. Remember 3oz isn't much! Thank you Troy-Bilt - for a nicely crafted - light weight machine - Made in USA - to use in my medium sized garden. ... show more

  • Great price
Brand name, it will do what I need it to do. I don’t need something that will plow the south 40, just a couple of small gardens and some flower beds.

  • got one use out of it
I wanted a smaller, light weight tiller and thought I would give Troy-Bilt a chance. Mistake. I used it the first year with no problems. Took it out this year and it started right up, flipped over and it is done. Oil was leaking everywhere. I took the carberator apart to clean it and one of the main screws to secure it to the engine was stripped so I could not replace it. It won't prime and it won't start because the pull cord is seized. Sorry I wasted my money. ... show more
