The measurements given are spot on. I would highly recommend you measure the opening you want this for because the opening to my doggie door was taller than any plastic door out there and you'll have a gap at the bottom. The plastic for this door is thick, yet flexible enough to let the dogs go in and out comfortably, then the flaps move back into their place. Maybe if I owned bigger dogs. The plastic is heavy duty. So heavy, that in cold temperatures, it won’t bend. Not only can’t my 17 lb dog get through it, I can’t even bend it. The plastic is not clear it is foggy on some parts, looks as if it was dirty at first I thought it was a plastic cover but it was not, tried cleaning it with windex and soap but nothing seemed to get rid of it. see my pictures, it is also very stiff and that makes the edges are a bit dangerous I almost cut my finger, don't run your fingers through the middle edges, if you have a small dog it might be too stiff for them to push it ... show more

Would not buy again! Wrong size and length. Dog hated it. The holed are In very specific places and if you try adapting it and creating new ones to fit the dog house and realize it still does not work you won’t get your money back! So if you see the holes and w and l won’t be work save your money and return it right away ... show more

Really nice thick plastic. Was easy to install and hangs well. Purchased this to use on a homemade pet shelter. Our door opening was wider than the plastic door so I bought 2 and hung them side by side.

I bought an XL for my German Shepherd puppy (4 months old). It is not tall enough. It's plenty wide enough. Very disappointing. My dog has to get on her knees to get in her dog house. Advertising for the dog size is not correct in this advertisement. I will have to start over and buy a larger door flap and re-cut the hole since I designed the opening around an "XL dog door flap". Over a year ago I bought two (2) plastic door covers for each of our dogs that stay outside and they are still keeping our dogs dry when it rains and warm in the cold. My husband attached them on the front of their wooden dog houses and I have not had a problem with them.
