  • Solid scope for the price
Style: 4-16x
I was extremely hesitant to buy something this inexpensive, but it was for a spare hunting rifle that I keep for folks that come out with me. It has held dope well. Glass is clear, no issues after shooting 50 rds of suppressed .308 on a 16” bolt gun. Your mileage may vary if you run it on a gas gun. Overall solid buy up there with Swampfox. ... show more

  • Great Budget Option
Style: 6-24x
I recently had the opportunity to test the Triton Tempest First Focal Plane (FFP) Long-Range Precision Rifle Scope, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance! The 4-16x magnification range provides excellent versatility, allowing for precise targeting at various distances. The FFP reticle ensures that holdover points remain accurate regardless of the zoom level, which is a huge advantage for long-range shooting. The fully multi-coated lenses deliver exceptional light transmission and clarity, providing a bright and crisp sight picture even in low-light conditions. The illuminated reticle is a standout feature, offering multiple brightness settings to adapt to different lighting environments. ... show more

  • Really nice scope at a great price
Style: 6-24x
Right off the bat, this is a big scope. While you could put it on an AR, it would be more at home on a longer rifle. I plan on either mounting it to my bench rest 22 or my bolt action AR with a 20" barrel. I had not mounted it on my rifle yet, but I sat it on my tripod, sat in a chair and sighted in on a shed in a yard behind the house across the street. That's the picture you see through the scope. The picture is not as good as what you actually see. Being a first plane scope, the reticle and led cross increase in size with magnification. This means the crosshairs are VERY fine. At 6x, the LED crosshairs are a tiny spec, barely visible. It is 4 MOA across, with the center dot at .27 MOA. At 25x, the LED crosshairs equals 4" at 100 yards. This is not meant for taking quick shots, its made for very precise deliberate shots at long range. The instructions state that minimum sighting distance is 25 yards, but the parallax adjustment will bring targets as close as 10 yards into focus. Make sure to use the focus adjuster at the eyepiece to get the crosshairs in sharp focus. To adjust your height and azimuth, you need to lift up on the locking rings, adjust, and press back down. This avoids inadvertently knocking it out of adjustment. The knob for the LED brightness is stiff, most likely from an O-ring seal, but I find this to be common on scopes. What's different and a big plus, between each light level is an additional click that turns it off. That means you don't have to turn the knob all the way around every time you use it, just turn one click. The scope comes with everything needed to mount it, including a level, tools, mounts, sun shade and extra battery. At a price about a minimum of $75 to $100 less than other s.copes with the same features, there must be something different. There is, the scope mounts and the view. As typical of mounts included with budget scopes, these mounts are the typical block style. The work, but they aren't the most attractive. The LED crosshair isn't very bright, but its suited for precision shooting. The view is bright with the large front lens, but there is some distortion at the outside area of the view. A little parallax and a little spherical distortion are noticeable if you move your head. I didn't notice blue lines that would indicate the collimation was off. These aren't an issue since they are at the outer edge of your view. This scope looks to be a great deal for a budget scope to use in bench rest or long-range shooting. You could spend ten times the cost of this scope on a high-end unit, but there wouldn't be much difference in the accuracy of your shots for probably 99% of the people out there. ... show more

  • Trash
Style: 4-16x
It worked good for ONE DAY and then the next day the zoom got stuck between 12-18, like there is dirt or something blocking it.👎

  • One of the better budget scopes I've ever seen
Style: 6-24x
I've had some epic fails with budget scopes, and I've had some where I was pleasantly surprised. Offhand on the unboxing, this is definitely the latter. Great glass that's nice & clear, very positive and audible clicks, a familiar turret dial system with the pull-up (or out, depending) to adjust / push-down to set, and it stays set. I only go to the outdoor range (an hour drive each way...) every couple of months (I can't test this at the short-lane indoor range that's a mere 5 minutes from my house that I go to more frequently), but I look forward to zeroing this in, and ensuring that it holds zero, on the next trip out there. ... show more

  • Value-Packed
Style: 6-24x
I have a soft spot for cheap scopes, I have purchased many in the past looking for a good value. This scope does not disappoint, at first inspection it appears to be on the higher end of function and features. Some of the best budget scopes I have found are from Monstrum, this Triton will hold it's own against both my G2 and G3 scopes from that company. Pros: This is a large scope but is it small and lightweight for it's zoom capability. The image quality is really good for the cost, one of the best I've seen in the budget world. The zoom dial has a throw handle and the turret adjustments are good. This think comes with everything you need to mount and start shooting the same day. The zoom seems to be pretty close to reality (not the case with a lot of budget scopes). Remarkable value. Cons: There are a lot of things you could complain about but keeping in mind this is a 24x, FFP scope for under $200, these are the what I thought was not as good as the best budget scopes. The reticle illumination is ok but turning it on and off requires an iron grip with your fingers, no way are you doing it with gloves. I doubt anyone will use it while hunting. The eye relief could be better, it is definitely not as good as my Monstrum's and is more in-line with my scopes from Sniper. Having gotten bit by a scope a few times, I'm pretty sensitive to this, however, it's good enough not to worry me. ... show more

  • Great scope for the price
Style: 6-24x
Let me start off, this is a large scope to be expected for 6 x 24. It appears to be well built, upon thorough inspection finish, lens, inside of lens, seems to have no issues. It says it was nitrogen purged. Lens is very clear. To test it, i mounted it on one of my 30-06 and it seems to held up to 30 or so rounds of recoil. It is very accurate, and adjustment knobs have a positive click. I think it’s great value for the money. I am ordering a 6.5 PRC so it’s heading to that firearm for longer range shooting. ... show more
