This is a perfect fit for my door's full-length window. My singular concern is about how it goes over the trim at the top of the window, since I have a different brand curtain on a different door, and over time, the hook and loop strip stuck to the door isn't staying on. I haven't noted that problem with this one yet, and hopefully, I won't because otherwise I really like this drape. This is a lot easier to take up than the other types of door drapes I've tried. The pole that you insert into the bottom helps a lot, besides keeping the drape from blowing around. The fabric is a big upgrade from my other door drapes and has a linen-like feel to it. The "greyish white" matches perfectly with the blackout blinds I have hanging in the same room which I was pleasantly surprised about. It should be easy to take down and wash when needed and the stitching and overall construction is very well done. It blocks the light out well, but this is less of a concern where I have it, so your experience may be different. The other door curtain I have in a sunnier location allowed light to come in from the sides, so I used some "accessory" velcro at the bottom of the curtain to keep it stuck to the wall at the top and bottom which really helped. You could easily do the same with this curtain if you want to lessen any light seeping in from the sides of the drape. Steaming out the creases in the fabric will also help, but only to a degree. All in all, this is a really nice door window drape for the money. It's a way nicer material than others I've tried, feeling more like a true drapery fabric than the thinner/cheaper-feeling fabrics I've received in the past. ... show more

OMG. This is fantastic! I am so glad I found this! We love black out curtains in our house, we sleep in and want it to stay dark. We have pull down shades and dark out curtains on top of those. Despite this, light still leaks in a bit along the edges because the shade does not rest against the wall. This one does! We have a teenager (shocking he likes to sleep til noon). he actually taped cardboard to his window to keep out the light (great look!). So 3 main things about these that are fantastic: 1. They are dark out and block out the light 2. The installation is SO easy. just attach the pre-sticky velcro strip on the wall above the window where you want it to hang. then attach it. 3. It actually looks super nice. I just thought of 2 more - it comes in LOTS of shapes including really long ones if you want say cover a window in a door (which is what I bought it for to cover the window in our travel trailer in the main cabin when guests are sleeping on the fold out couch to make it dark). It is super easy to roll up, its velcro. So you don't have to worry about strings. I ordered this to see if I liked it and it worked like I thought. I plan on replacing the carboard in my son's windows at home and in our camper! These are awesome! ... show more

    • Great Solution for Large Glass on Door

I am very glad I ordered this roller shade. I ordered greyish white and if I had to name the color, that's exactly what I would name it. It looks like a very, very light grey, almost white. One of my back doors is 8' tall with a very large 6.5' tall piece of glass in it. I moved into my house two years ago and since then, I have had one of those paper zig-zag stacking shades that you manually push up and then clip into place at the height you want. It was only meant to be temporary and it didn't look very nice. This new roller shade is definitely a step or two up from that paper shade. I plan to replace it eventually once we replace all of the blinds in the house, but this will work well until then. I have a couple minor issues with this roller shade, hence the 4 stars. The one I was sent had the panel that is at the very top sewn on ever so slightly crooked and since the shade is almost 7' long, it is obvious by the time you get to the bottom of the shade. I had to install it with the left side about 1/4" higher than the right in order to get the rest of the shade to go straight down and cover the glass. The other issue I have is that about halfway down, the edges bow outward. I ironed it flat on the synthetic iron setting and got all the wrinkles out, but I think since it is so long maybe it is just going to bow outward halfway down. For that reason, I wish the material was a bit more flexible and heavy to let it fall completely straight. ... show more

Our exterior door that goes from the laundry to the side yard has a window and in the afternoon, the sun shines through and can cause the laundry room to heat up to sauna temps during the summer. I wanted something that would cut the sunlight streaming through this window and saw this door blind which seemed like it would be perfect. No screws or mounting brackets required, just peel the backing from the velcro strip and apply it to the desired surface. This adhesive is very strong. Then unroll the blind and press the other side of the velcro which is on the back side of the blind, on to the other strip. Assemble the weight pole which comes in three pieces with connectors, slide it through the bottom pocket and plug in the caps at either end. You can now roll the blind up (manually) and the velcro on either side of the blind will hold it at your desired height. It took around two minutes to install. It certainly blocks the light coming in through that window, so I'm very happy with the quality, ease of installation and function. ... show more

Although this shade is needed for a front door which faces a vine covered entryway it still needs to be solidly opaque and it is. There is no other way to hang a shade there so the Velcro tape is a necessity. The shade fabric is thick and I am impressed by how well it stays flat and covers the window. The polyester material looks and feels like canvas. The fabric is a light grey/white color, really an understated white. It looks very neat. The sun heats the door in summer so the insulating internal material is very helpful. I like the rollers for rolling it up. ... show more
