The media could not be loaded. The lag screws provided are pure trash. Buy your own at the hardware store. I used 5/16 3" & 1 1/4" sheet metal screws which have just a slightly finer thread than lag screws and are much cheaper. I used a douglas fir 2x8x8 and cut it to 10" and just eye balled the holes to drill. I've been using this thing all week and it's been rock solid. It's minimal and it does the trick. I encourage you to watch the video part of this review as I show you everything, but here are some thoughts. - The metal hardware is strong and sturdy. - Buy your own lag screws. I don’t trust what it comes with. - The weight pin is super thin and weights (particularly 2”) will slide and lean, causing the pulley ropes to spin and twist. - I solved this by purchasing a weight pin separately that was 2” and no more spin - The cables are rope, not traditional gym cables so there is some noise.. particularly with the lower pulley as it is offset. Replacing those would also be good... - I thought it would be mounted by securing to a stud, but there are 4 holes. I used 2 to go into a stud... it’s still very sturdy. Over all it does what it needs to do, but that is some stuff to be aware of. ... show more

I had a pulley system hanging off my power cage with straps. This has been a perfect replacement to get all that out from inside the cage. Love my home gym and this was a needed addition. Very well made.

    • Lower Pully Issue

Overall a good system. However, the lower pully operation interferes with the weights as the are moving upward. One recommendation is to offer a pully that swivels 180 deg left or right to avoid the cable when operating.

    • It It Worth Purchasing?

Hi, The pulley system is very strong, the cords are sturdy and the accessories are of very good quality; for the price I would expect that would be the case. The only issue I have is the bolts that came with the system are useless. I had to purchase the appropriate bolts from Menards. The system was easy to install and I installed it myself on my garage wall. I must mention I do have thick wood planks installed over the drywall throughout my garage (was there already when I purchased my home 20 years ago). I say that to say, if you have drywall you'll have to use anchors or toggle bolts if your stud (behind the drywall) is only wide enough to allow for screwing 1 side of the system in. This is a great home setup. While we don’t feel comfortable going to the gym. The rope cables do bunch up while using and we would prefer cable style. But great alternative. Not sure about how long term use will impact wearability. The only hang up after using this after a month is the pulleys need to be larger so the cable doesn’t jump the track! ... show more
