  • Overall it is a great product and very reliable
It is very easy to put together. I was a little concerned about it before it arrived because several mentioned it was unstable and tipped over and they went with it. It is a solid, steady allowing me to move around on wheels rather than crutches. I think I would have a stronger likelihood of falling down with crutches. The scooter has been great for me. I have no complaints at all. I take it slow and easy and am generally pretty careful when using it. It hasn’t failed me yet. I like the bag. It is really helpful when I have to get up at night. I turn the light on my phone on and put it in the bag. It gives me all the light I need. It maneuvers around well too. I have some small doors and have no problem getting through to get to my bathroom. When my wife is around she will turn it around for me so I can go forward from the bathroom. Otherwise I back out and have to be very careful so I don’t bump my foot that is recovering from surgery. I also have to back up to my bedside due to limited space. It can be tricky but is better for me when I stand up to get back in bed. I do it that way so I’m getting into bed from my left side and good left leg. I went straight in a few times which had my right side and the right foot I had surgery on. It made it a bit tricky getting into bed that way and I almost went down but my wife was there and caught me so I am backing up to the bed all the time now and it works much better for me. I just take it slow and steady and constantly look around to make sure I don’t bump my foot. I didn’t purchase the pad accessory for making the knee pad softer, but what comes with the stroller has been fine for me. I hope this helps you make a good decision for you. ... show more

  • Great little skooter
Bought this after a foot surgery. Nothing fancy but easy to use! Well constructed and a comfortable pad for the knee. So glad I got it. Reasonable price too.

  • Good but could be better
I rarely comment on purchases but it is worth it on this one. It is a really good knee scooter that could have been great if they invested just a little more in it. The scooter was easy to assemble and is sturdy and stable. Problems are that there are 4 adjustment knobs on it that frequently loosen with use because they lack any lock washers or other locking mechanism. Screws that hold the seat also lack lock washer and can loosen or come out making it really unstable. Fortunately, I found the one that fell out after 2 days and tightened the rest. This may be common on all similar devices in this price range but when the knobs or the seat loosen even a little, it becomes much more unstable quickly so tighten knobs daily at most. Check seat screws occasionally. You will need to buy a supplemental cushion for the seat. After 2 days it will be hard as a rock and then becomes really hard on your knees. I used a Vibe cushion add on that helps a lot but it needs to be repositioned daily to keep the seat flat and stable. Usage tends to make it tilt on the seat. ... show more

  • Scooter
After my bunion surgery I had difficulty getting around. I purchased the scooter and my mobility was enhanced. Very sturdy and perfect size for inside the house and trips outside the house

  • Rolls easily over carpet, and transitions well between carpet and smooth floors.
This is only my second day using it, but so far, I’m happy. Easy installation, and the brakes work well for me. Adjusting the pad height or the handle height wasn’t difficult either. It does have a wide turning radius, but that is to be expected as that was mentioned. Better that, then turning too sharply and losing your balance. The pad isn’t bad, but it is a bit firmer than I would like, might want to put a towel on it to help soften it maybe. I was happy that it rolls quite easily on the carpet in our home, and going from carpet to linoleum is just as easy. You do have to watch the change though, as it does roll a lot faster on linoleum but it’s easy to control. I’ve been able to do dishes, put laundry away now, as I just set the brake, and still support my broken ankle with little effort. It’s pretty light too, so I have even been able to turn it around by hand if I didn’t want to back out of a tight space. I’m still getting used to it, but I’m feeling more confident scootering around on it. ... show more

I recently found out that my fourth metatarsal and my cuboid bone on my left foot are fractured. I have been told my doctor that I must stay off of my foot...which is really hard to do, AND as an added bonus, my left hand is also out of commission, so crutches won't work for me. I found the Elenker knee scooter on Amazon while looking for an alternative source of getting around. A girl has got to get to the bathroom and refrigerator, right???? The Elenker knee scooter was less expensive than most of the other basic knee scooters on the site...I paid a few more dollars for the super fun two-tone paint job, but the black knee scooter is just as cute...I'm just a little "extra" so I ordered the blue and white one. I don't need a fancy off road knee scooter, so this knee scooter will do the job. It shipped fast, it was well packaged, arrived fast and was SOOOOO easy to put together. I did it with ONE hand, I had to use my forearm and sofa to balance some of the pieces while I put them together, but seriously, SOOOOO easy, no tools required, the instructions are little vague but it doesn't matter, there are few pieces to connect, most of it is already done and this little knee scooter has adjustable height knee seat that is pretty soft and comfortable, but you can buy a softer cover for even more cushion...did I mention my knee is bruised???? an adjustable height steering wheel and it is sturdy. I am 5'3", 140 lbs, but it will work for lots of different heights and assist up to 300 lbs. Also, it is easy to steer with one hand and a forearm...if you are single winged like me, just don't get too crazy and don't go too fast. take your time. Now I can follow my doctor's orders, my foot can heal and I can still get all my business done in a timely manner. I just need a basket for provisions and I'm all set!!!! ... show more
