  • Well made !! -Responsive company that listens and improved the product
Color: Black
This trailer is a classic. Super portable and light. When attached you hardly feel it at all. It is easy to forget you are pulling a trailer and stupidly can ride in your old manner. Foolish riders are the only problem. Since people NEVER make a mistake they then blame the trailer. There is no trailer that is this light, folds so small, and can be used as a shopping cart and be taken into a store to be packed up and therefore not be stolen. One review said that the straps got loose. I went out and tested mine several times from multiple angles. They never got loose. These are the exact same straps and locking lever that have been used as shoulder straps on thousands of backpacks for decades. I think this person might have threaded the strap through the locking lever the wrong way. The company has improved the trailer from the first version years ago. They added a hitch that disconnects easier, an extension on the attachment bar to clear longer racks, a better kickstand to have the trailer stand up vertically without falling (great for shopping) and a rubber grip for when one uses it as a shopping cart, or to wheel your stuff up to your hotel room without unpacking your bike. I can not get into the bags. I have waterproof bags already and with no bags you can fit GIGANTIC boxes on the trailer. See the You Tube video where a guy with a brompton moves his whole apartment with this trailer. Super trailer. A classic. • perfect for my needs
Color: Black
I did lots of research before purchasing this item and I wasn't even sure when I received it. However, when I put it together and started using it, I was sold. First off, it is engineered so that I don't even feel it behind me, in fact, I continually look to ensure it is still there. Genius, the way it attaches and there are no tools needed to assemble and attach. I ride my bike every day to class and the books and such are heavy, so that is why I bought this. I also like the fact that I can easily detach it and use it as a cart if I need to go shopping.. Fantastic product ... show more

  • The amazing hand cart with amazing bike-attachments
The fold-out unit was functioning about 3 minutes after I got the outer carton open -- snap-on wheels, fold-and-click bottom 'shelf', fold-and-click coupling tongue, quick-clamp receiver for the seat post... And the collapsing of the tongue for use as a hand cart is a natural, one-handed twist closed and twist open. I expect the whole thing including wheels will fit in one of my large rear paneers, but haven't tried it yet. E-bikers: take care cornering/maneuvering on hills or bumpy roads, as my cart toppled several times in these conditions. Just as a similar hand cart will lean over from time to time, think of this as a hand cart you can easily attach and pull with your bike -- not super stable. The telescoping tongue extension may improve tipping stability, fully extended? Anyway, probably does much better below 12mph, whereas on my e-bike I'm always itching to go nearly the class2 max at 22mph or whatever -- recommended only on the smoothest roads or with careful deceleration to more un-powered cruising speed, before bumps/curves. You're going to want a dedicated bag or two that coordinate well to this bike. Well-fit rubber bungies with a hook that's well suited to the provisions on the trailer frame should improve stability and carry capacity / variety of bags you can properly secure to the frame. The lowest tie-down provisions on the Travoy frame could benefit from being lower? As low as possible? I had a standard recycled shopping bag slip out from under the lowest tie-point several times (causing or caused-by my tipped trailer? -- not sure which). ... show more

  • Travoy Burley Bike Trailer
Color: Black
I first saw the Travoy Burley bike trailer on the "Bike Girl" YouTube channel. I have a Tern GSD cargo bike and can carry a great amount of items (10 bags of grocery's). I wanted the trailer for when I carried large box items or my camera equipment (large tripods and cases). The trailer works very well and is very easy to hook up and un-hook from the bike. It is light and rolls very well. I also purchased the two bags for when I do quick shopping. I can walk to the store and un-hook from my bike and roll into the store. I have carried up to 120 pounds of camera gear on the bike and tied it down with the straps that come with the trailer. The tiers do have to be inflated about once every 3-4 months, but this is real quick. It will stand upright by itself, but I do not trust the stand with very heavy weight in the top bag, unless the bottom bag has a heavier weight. When I only have one set of items to carry, I put it in the bottom bag. It seemed a little expensive when I first purchased it, but I have more than saved the money in not needing a taxi to shop. It's about 52 inches tall when fully extended. The taxers have a Max Load of 40KG at recommended pressure of 250 KP. The tires are 12 1/2 x 1.75 x 2 1/4 The valve stem is the normal gage for pumping up the tires, and not the very skinny\narrow gage for high end bikes. ... show more

  • Not just a bike trailer
Color: Black
This is a great bike trailer, but I'm finding I use it for much more. The day it arrived, I had to move a dehumidifier about 3 blocks. I usually walk that distance; it's not worth locking and unlocking a bike, but it was a hot humid day, and carrying a 35 lb (16 kg) appliance wasn't appealing at all. I loaded it on the Travoy and it was an effortless walk. I've also used it to take boxes to the post office. Is serves as a lightweight hand truck that can be easily be collapsed into the included bag. 10 mile trips with it as a bike trailer have been easy. The top bag / computer case is a great brief case. I've used it a few times with and without the trailer. I wish I found this 20 years ago, but I"m glad I have it now. ... show more
