This bag is expensive and slightly heavier than comparable under seat bags, but I selected it over 2 others for several reasons: 1. useable space-slightly larger than other “business “ sized bags, 2. pockets for cords, computer etc, that are not available on the hard sided models and 3. quality of wheel assembly. I have used it on two short trips, and have been pleased with the purchase. The only complaint that I have is that pens and other small items stashed in the outside zip compartment will fall out if the full front access is unzipped and the Velcro tabs released -In order to access the bag like a small suitcase. Fit under aisle seat on a Delta flight-not the window seat. I had a tight connection and just made my flight. Of course the overhead bin above my seat was full and my seat mate wasn’t on the flight yet. I fit this case under the seat. My seat mate came and he was quite tall. I’m offered him the aisle seat. Tried to fit the car under the window seat-no go. Great ending to story-flight attendant was mad that someone 2 seats in front of me took up my whole overhead bin. Made him gate check it. Don’t let me forget-I packed for a 5 day trip and I’m female. And I had room to spare. Important for those of us who shop. ... show more

Highly recommend TPro Platinum Elite over other TPro - and I have tried MaxLite, Versa Crew, & more. There is a user friendly difference to the style and workmanship (imo). Currently own the Spinner 16" Underseat Tote which I use as a toiletries (&more) for local travel (ie road trips, etc). I like to have a tote always packed & ready with my essentials and this TPro is the best I've had for this purpose! I keep a couple of small furniture castor cups in the bag and put under the wheels so that when I am working out of it in the bathrooms it stays put ;) Also have the 21" Carry On Spinner - this is the piece that started me on the Platinum journey. The way these bags glide is above the rest! I also recently got the 25" Medium Check for a longer trip that I wanted to check a bag. This is almost great as my other TravelPro Platinum Elite bags. In particular, it's very easy to maneuver through the airport (as long as it'sthe only bag), and it fits well under the seat. But it does not sit well on top of its sister bag before and after the larger bag is checked through. I was very surprised there was no strap on the back to fit over the sister bag's handle. I got a separate bungee cord to fasten it myself, and invariably the two-bag tower would fall over forwards and be difficult to pick up. Big disappointment! ... show more

I was surprised at how light weight this little case is, and still I can fit two days of clothing in there with all of my laptop and cords, etc. This is really helping me downsize my bags when I travel for work. My ThinkPad is a tight squeeze in the laptop sleeve but it fits. I love all the little pockets for all my odds and ends. The wheels work great even on hotel hall carpet, and packed full with laptop it is still light weight. Excellent purchase, I really like it. I can't rate durability yet because I just bought it and I have only used it once so far, but it is well constructed so I expect it to be durable. ... show more

I bought this as an upgrade from a great Victorinox underseat carryon I'd found at Target, which I've enjoyed using for several years; the only thing that one really lacked was spinner wheels. This Travelpro is a real upgrade. The main compartment's sleeve for a laptop is a great improvement, very accessible, and the middle compartment has a sleeve for a tablet or Kindle as well; both are well padded and lined with soft fabric. The zippers are nice and hefty but don't always move smoothly. The telescoping handle is also extremely strong and has several height options, easy to lock onto and to collapse. The battery pocket is a nice-to-have. Everything about it is durable and simple. Unfortunately on my first trip using it I found it was hard to reach into the compartments without opening them fully, so I ended up buying a small bag for my in-flight needs at the airport, which I could remove at my seat before takeoff. With my previous carryon I was used to accessing the compartments easily during flight. I'm not sure whether I'll get used to this limitation or not. ... show more
