I had an intermittent check engine light with a p1762 code. When this happened the Jeep would start out in 3rd gear or have trouble shifting. After dropping the pan, it only took a few minutes to remove the old part and replace it with this. I had to add about 6 quarts of ATF+4 when it was all back together. Now the check engine light is off and everything appears back to normal in terms of the transmission and shifting. So I ordered a replacement kit 2 years ago that never really fixed my issue with not shifting on the highway correctly. I ordered this kit to verify that the other kit had the incorrect solenoid (it did, and it was from EBay for the 2000 Grand Cherokee 42re). This kit had a slightly different looking solenoid than my previous kit. Needless to say, it runs flawlessly now and fixed an issue I've been having for years. I had my doubts about ordering this part from Amazon, but it worked out swell. I also recommend ordering the 5 quarts of ATF4 MOPAR fluid. ... show more

Easy to change, drop the pan remove a few screws and swap them out. My truck was not shifting from first to second without leaving off the throttle, Researched online and changed out the sensor and governor. Problem solved
