    • A brilliant design
When I first saw this mini handle, I thought it would never work very well. But those folks at the Trangia design center really do know what they are doing. The handle works great on the Trangia 28 size cook set (both on the pot and the fry pan). I have tried it on other pots and it works there as well as long as you are lifting under about two total pounds (about a quart/liter of water).     • A bit flimsy.
While the idea of this thing is nice, the actual functionality of it simply isn't there for normal use. We use a lot of Trangia gear, from stoves to pots, but this thing is just a little too flimsy for us. If you cook really light for a person or two, this tool might work. For us cooking for several people, the pots can become a little too heavy for this to grasp. ... show more

    • Lightweight, and it works with the Trangia setup.
Although it is not as strong as the original Trangia handle, it is a lot lighter, and with a small elastic band it packs nice and small. It is strong enough to easily lift and maneuver a 1 litre pot full of water, a fry pan, and easily manipulates the simmer ring.

    • Small and light. Minimal but usable. (Grip firmly and carefully if lifting a mostly full pot)
I'm not sure it really deserves five stars because it's kinda wimpy. But it's that way for reasons important to some. It's meant to be small, light, and easily packable in the Trangia pots. It's kinda minimal but it's usable. If compactness were really important to me, It'd take this one. Otherwise, I'll swallow the weight and take my Primus lockable gripper. :-) ... show more

    • Good enough as a holding handle
This handle holds the pan well only when you squeeze it, it doesn't latch onto any particular location alonng the rim of the pan it is made for.

This product it not Aluminum. Not black and weight is wrong. The good news is it only weighs 20 grams. Looks to be cheap chromed spring steal. Stainless? Maybe?
