  • Worth the money.
After 10 years of mowing with this Zero Turn I finally purchased the suspension platform. Should have done this years ago! It added a small amount of height but not a problem. I had to make an extension for the seat safety switch - not a big deal. Unfortunately. The steel plate my seat bolts to would not allow the seat to work. The seat moves up and down. So I had to cut the rectangle opening below the seat. Now it can move freely. Yes It clears the battery so no issues there. Not a difficult install, even with having to make modifications. This made a significant improvement. It takes the jarring impact and softens it substantially. I set the seat firmer than I thought I would. I ended up purchasing this after my first mow of the season landed me in the chiropractor’s office. ... show more

  • Well Made - Very Heavy - Requires Some Ingenuity
Contrary to the description, this device WILL fit a John Deere lawn mower without modifying the mounting plates. In the description, it states that the device will not fit John Deere. I have a Zero Turn 325 that was made in 2023. The 11" / 11.5" bolt pattern worked perfectly. Because there is no seat adjustment rails, you will want to raise the seat mount about 1.5" above the seat plate that is on the lawn mower. Rather than using washers or pipe for a riser, I cut / folded / welded a 2' long piece of bar stock to make a couple of risers. The seat now allows me (a 6'-1" man) to sit on the seat and not have my knees up near my chest. This added about 5" to the seat height and makes the ride a LOT more comfortable. Please consider if you need more height or a softer ride. At today's price of just under $200.00, it is a pricy add-on. That makes it about 9% of the cost of the new mower... Yea, that's Pricey to say the least. ... show more

  • Definitely A Back Saver!
My wife bought this for me last week. Today I installed it on my ExMark Radius E Series. Installation was pretty easy. The seats safety switch was compromised by the springs. Instead of using washers, I just bypassed the safety switch. I figured as old as I am, I’m smart enough to disengage the blades before getting off. 🤷🏻🤣 Anyway, as you see reviews and videos on this product, you don’t see much on ExMark. There were also no issues with the seat adjusters getting in the way of each other as some videos claim. All I can say is it went on easy but most importantly was the wow factor. Up until taking the seat off I had no idea that I was riding on the frame feeling every bump there was. I haven’t mowed with it yet but drove it for a bit to try it out and let me tell you I wish I had known about this years ago. Definitely a back saver and worth purchasing. Go ahead, you’ll thank me later for the review. ... show more

  • Really helps my back
I mounted this on my Hustler zero-turn mower. All holes lined up perfectly. If you follow instructions, it works perfectly. No additional hardware or drilling is needed. The critical part of the instructions is to place this item between the seat slides and the seat. This provides the slide action functionality and the required clearance for the springs/lever action mechanisms. ... show more

  • Sooth
I should have purchased this for my mower four years ago. It is so smooth and absorbs the shock of my clay dirt. I can now mow much faster and I don't feel like I have been in a karate fight. It takes a little bit to get it installed and a good helper is strongly suggested but well worth it.

  • Perfect fit for 2018 Exmark Radius E-Series
Have had a 2018 Exmark Radius E-Series just over 500 hours. Didn't opt for the 500 dollar suspension seat upgrade and used it with the regular seat. I don't know how I put up with such a jarring ride this whole time. Installing the seat was very simple. It added about 4 ish inches of height to the seat with the spacers I added to the top and bottom. I needed about a 3/8 inch of spacers underneath the seat bottom to accommodate the seat safety switch. Then I relocated the sliding rails underneath the suspension assembly. Without some spacers on the bottom rails, the seat bottoms out just a bit to quick because my mower has a thick rubber floor-mat like piece underneath the seat that is about a 1/4 inch thick to most likely help isolate seat vibration. And since the bottom rails are mounted in slots cut out from the rubber piece, I needed to add spacers underneath my sliding rails. Added a 1/2 underneath it and it sat much higher than before. The seat sitting higher on my mower wasn't an issue though since you can buy it from the dealer with an exmark suspension seat. It sits right in line with pictures I've seen online from mowers equipped with it. Bought some metal plates from a hardware store and added about an inch of height to my steering levers since I'm 6'3. Even before the seat was raised 4 inches higher, I had trouble with the levers hitting my knees at their highest level anyways. Fit great underneath it with an addition inch of lever height though. Overall the ride quality has increased greatly. It'll smooth out most smaller bumps. In more bumpy ground you'll be going up and down quiet a bit and you might even bottom it out occasionally but it'll still feel a lot better than riding on a solid axle. If you are anything over 260 pounds I wouldn't recommend the seat though. I'm 255 pounds and I have to turn the seat up nearly as high as it goes for regular lawns and I turn the seat up as firm as possible for extremely rough lawns for more spring resistance. Still bottoms out at the highest setting on big bumps. Overall a much, much better and smoother ride than before. I have a 2012 Hustler Fastrak that I'm most likely gonna buy this platform for. ... show more
