    • good yoga mat, a bit narrow

This yoga mat is huge step up from my regular cheap yoga mat. The one reason I wanted to invest in a higher quality mat is because I'd like to a non slip one. My old yoga mat tend to move around when I exercise and sometimes cause me to trip. This mat does just what I need it to, it sticks well to the ground and did not slip. In addition to the non slip feature, it's also very soft to stand on. It absorbs liquid well though I don't think it's quick to dry. It wasn't until I start using this mat that I realize how helpful the alignment lines are, they are really helpful at getting me to the right posture. While I really like how soft the mat's material is, I feel like it can attract dust easily and it would be harder to rub off than with the regular mat material. Since I tend to stand in the middle of the mat, I wonder if that part of the mat will "sink" over time. The mat comes with a poster of 63 yoga poses. I have yet to try out those poses but they are good to know. There is also a mesh carrying bag but I find that it's hard to slip the mat back into the bag even though it doesn't feel tight. It's overall still a very good mat, and I'm very happy with it despite a few flaws. ... show more

I am 5'11". This seems a bit short for me. Strong rubber smell out of the package. Nice carry bag and poster although a yoga poster seems silly in the digital age where you can stream at anytime. On the thinner side of yoga mats but it works and doesnt slip.

I am a beginner at Yoga and this is perfect for me because I have the poses hanging on the wall while I am doing Yoga. There are a few poses that I need help with so this combination is great for me. I have had zero other yoga mats in the past but this one seems great. I do find I pay attention to the lines and that keeps me attempting to be even while working out. Comes with a carrying case as well as string which I guess you could carry it with also. It also has a large poster of yoga poses. You'll want to keep that posted to wrap around the outside of the mat to make it slide into the carrying bag easier. This is a very high quality, attractive mat. It’s made of two layers of a thick, soft, airy foam – green on top and black on the bottom. The green layer is an avocado green color with a stylized design that looks really cool – it almost reminds me of heart shaped leaves – and the texture helps you maintain your grip and position and prevent sliding, especially when you’re sweaty in hot yoga. The black layer has a ribbed or wavy texture to prevent the mat from sliding on the floor. It’s thick enough my knees don’t hurt when in tabletop, etc. which is great because usually I need two mats and it’s a pain to haul both around, but it’s not bulky like a traditional workout mat. It also has lines on the mat to guide you and help you find the correct position and alignment. I like them because they make it so much easier to know when you need to adjust your form. This mat doesn’t hold the curve shaped from being rolled up long, but rolls up easy once you’re done using it. A full-size poster of 63 yoga poses is included so you can practice at home too – almost as good as having an instructor in class. It comes with a carrying bag to store it or transport to/from class, which I love and is way better and so much easier to use than a strap or a bag that zips.
