This game is great for keeping littles busy in a new environment safely. Perfect for indoor or outdoor use. Had my kids busy for hours. They hd fun both hiding and seeking. You will need new batteries after a while so pick those button batteries up with you game

    • Fun for the kids
They are fun to use indoors and outdoors. The jars are cute, the lightening bugs light up well. One didn't light up but I took the batteries out and re-installed them and it worked perfectly. The only problem is that someone hid one so well, we are yet to find it.

Very basic premise, one team hides five blinking fireflies. The other team hides the other five blinking fireflies and everyone sees and who gets them first wins, but they’re really cute and the light up colors are pretty. Haven’t had it long enough to know how the batteries will hold up Probably a good spring summer game and it’s snowy and wet here but it seems like a nice purchase. Also, I think excuses a little young it seems like the toy that would be good for like first and second graders whereas my kids are 10 to 17 but they like getting together and just playing any kind of games and running around with their cousins so for us it’ll work, but I don’t think you’d wanna buy it for anyone older than 8 ... show more

    • Cute and a little annoying!
This is a cute toy and a great idea with a couple of flaws. The first is the fact noted by a number of reviewers that many of the fireflies don’t work out of the box. I purchased extra batteries in anticipation of a problem. Only 2 worked initially, but when I used a tiny screwdriver to remove the tedious little screw and took out the tiny batteries, wiped them thoroughly and reinstalled them, every single firefly became functional without need of new batteries. All was well until my grandson hid a bunch of them and then forgot where they were. We are still missing four! I’m not sure how long they continue blinking before their batteries give out, so I wonder if our lost fireflies are still in their hiding places blinking away, hoping to be found! Be sure your little ones understand that should hide them where the blinking light can be seen and that they need to remember the hiding places. They don’t have an auto off feature to turn them off if they aren’t found after a long time so they will keep blinking until the batteries run out. ... show more

Grand kids loved this game and just playing with the fireflies. It can be a game or just play time. These do have batteries in them so supervised play is the best for safety. My grandkids love them and play with them often. Sometimes they play find the fireflies before they go to bed as an incentive. Age range 6M to 5 years. ... show more

My grandson is 3 and he loves finding the fireflies. He has not figured out just yet how to hide and seek with a friend using both sets, but he likes finding them over and over. He also likes to hide them.

    • Give the magic of a southern childhood
The media could not be loaded. Love this so much!!! My son is 4 so we haven't done a game necessarily, more like a game of hiding all of them and letting him collect them. It's so fun and magical. We hide them in wet grass and drizzle and it's so fun. Highly recommend for anyone who caught fireflies as a child. ... show more
