Okay I am in my 30’s, and have ADHD, and I found out about nail stickers *now*?? Where have you been all my life?? I am a former nail biter, and after I managed to quit that habit I was in awe of beautiful manicures. However, (I knew I shouldn’t) I couldn’t resist picking my gel manicures off and I didn’t have a budget which included frequent nail salon trips. Regular nail polish always makes me feel like my nails are suffocating, like it would feel heavy in some way? I don’t know, definitely lots of sensory issues for me in this department. Painting my own nails at home almost ALWAYS leads to smeared polish because I would get bored waiting and then also forget they were still wet. And then regular polish starts chipping off in a day or two anyways, after I would spend so much time obsessively making sure they were perfect. Cue: nail stickers. **They look beautiful. I can still use my perfectionist skills in setting them just right, but now they last 1-2 weeks rather than days! **Budget friendly. So much more affordable than pro manicures **Absolutely zero drying time. I still avoid getting them wet for the first several hours, but then I’m golden. I do them before bed so they have water free time. **They don’t feel heavy or suffocating on my nails. I hope some of you can understand that weird feeling. **Way less damaging then any other nail method! I use nail oil and slowly peel them off when I’m ready to change and my nails actually look healthy 😱 My first order of Tough Girls nail strips did not go so well. Some of them cracked in half while I tried to peel them off the sheet, many stickers chipped somehow in the first couple days, and some felt gummy. I had a feeling that Amazon might have sent me an old set. I reached out to Tough Girls and Mindi was so sweet in helping me replace them! There were some extra special touches in my replacement and a hand written note and I couldn’t be happier with this company 🥳 P.S. I also really like the fact that Tough Girls comes with two nail prep wipes and a wooden cuticle stick. Okay I’m done with this novel! ... show more

    • Not Worth It!
I wanted to love these so much! As a professional cleaner, I’d love to get my nails done but always use wraps instead because it’s money down the drain (literally) after a couple days. I had never heard of this brand before but was so excited to try them - even the packaging states “thicker, tougher” and I instantly purchased. The shipping was quick, the packaging is sleek and the design was beautiful. That’s where it ends. I put these wraps on, on a Monday. I followed directions to a tee, even showering before I put them on to avoid direct heat for 12 hours (as the directions state) Two hours later, one wrap already had a scuff mark. I hadn’t even made it into work yet! Though I do clean and my nails take a beating, I always wear gloves at work. So, there is little to no direct contact with any cleaners or water with the exception of hand washing. By Tuesday afternoon, a few more nails were peeled along the top. One wrap had even chipped on the corner, something I have never seen before with wraps. I removed them only 5 days after putting them on. They were just awful. Every single wrap had either peeled, chipped, scuffed - you name it, it happened. I purchased a cheap Amazon brand nail wrap at the same time I purchased these. The cheap Amazon brand, which I used prior to these - lasted 2 weeks!! Save your money, prettier and “tougher” is clearly not any better. I can’t recommend this brand at all - not even for a quick weekend wedding or date night. Poor quality, high price for the poor quality and an absolute waste of time and money. In a previous life (pre-covid), I was getting my nails done about once a month. I'd change my polish more frequently, and I'd gotten pretty good at doing it at home. I never had artificial nails, but I've done gel manicures and the dip manicures. I'd consider myself above average when it comes to most things nail related. I haven't been to a nail salon in almost a year, and I was looking for new ways to change things up. A friend sent me color street, and it was a bit of a gateway into learning about nail stickers. I have a toddler at home, so the idea of no dry time was very appealing. Color street was good. The sticker is much thinner than other brands, and it was easy to just pinch off the excess and file it away. However, the removal was a bit difficult, and the durability wasn't great. I also didn't love that you could only buy them online through a rep. They lasted about a week. During black Friday, I bought some dashing diva brand stickers. These were the opposite of color street. They were much thicker and durable, but they were tough to put on. I learned that it is best to clip off the excess sticker before filing. I've also learned for me that I don't like the filed edge of the sticker on my nail because it tends to catch on fabric. I ended up clipping my nails shorter to create a cleaner free edge of my nail. This may not be an option for folks who have shorter nails to begin with. I did like the removal process where you just peel them off. These lasted 10 days, but during that time I'd get edges peeling up. It was pretty annoying when I'd wash my hair and it would get caught in the nail sticker. Enter tough girls. I just applied them last night, and I liked the application process. I really appreciate that they include an alcohol pad, a cuticle stick, and a nail file. All are essential to a good application. They went on easily. I continued clipping off the excess with my nail scissors and filing away to get a good fit. Definitely agree with their instructions not to tear the stickers. I did need to use one of my own nail files with a finer grit to finish off the free edge, but that wasn't a problem. The edge is nice and clean, and it's not snagging on anything (not even my hair). I did my nails last night, and there were no issues this morning. I took a shower, and they did lose a tiny amount of sheen, but that's it. I didn't use a top coat, which I'm sure would have helped. I'm partial to more solid colors, so next time I'd probably pick a different pattern. But overall, these are the best nail stickers I've tried so far. ... show more
