Bike is great goes to 20 mph easily .battery last very long, just tiers need better quality. Bike just needed a little adjustment at a bike shop and turned out to be worthy for the price. seller is good they send me inner tubes to be replaced and reimbursed the bike shop invoice.

The media could not be loaded. Update 5/6/2024 Probably my final update. I've had 2 of these bikes. One with 128 miles that I had to ship back, and another with 220 miles on the replacement bike. The bike is solid. It looks awesome, and most people don't even know its an electric bike. It is quiet and smooth, and if you use it on the lower models, you still get a decent little workout. The throttle is nice for me, because I am in the city north of Detroit and our roads are not very pedestrian friendly, so I frequently run out of sidewalk and have to hop up and down curbs and go off road. It has done all of that and more. I want all of my friends and family to get one. Totem and their customer service really won me over. Not everything in life goes smooth, but how they resolved my issues gave me the confidence. I will probably buy my next bike from them as well based on my experience. Totem U.S.A., if you are reading this, Isaac in Texas has done a wonderful job handling my concerns, and deserves a raise for providing memorable customer service. I really feel like your company has my back and will support me. Hopefully this will be the last review I write on this bike. Setting the bike up wasn't too hard but the instructions suck. Will continue to update my review. Had to take it to the shop to get the rear tire changed, but after that, it runs pretty good. UPDATE 04/14/2024 125 miles in, I have an error. Bike died suddenly with 2 bars of battery left. Now I can't even get it back on UPDATE 04/16/2024 I finally got a hold of their customer support after going through all of the troubleshooting for it. They reached back out to me Monday morning just after 11:00 A.M. EST, so just an hour after they opened they had responded back to me after the weekend. The rep Isaac went through the trouble shooting process and they say they are going to replace the bike. The real downside of this bike is also one of the cosmetically appealing aspects of it. The cables connecting the battery, and engine are built into the frame, and I spent all day trying to figure out what I can do. There is not a lot of data or product guides online for this bike yet either. They are sending me a shipping label for me to box the bike back up and send it back via Fedex. After they have confirmed they have received the bike, they will send the new one, so I am looking at least 2 weeks without a bike..... :( Update 4/26/2024 They replaced my bike. One thing that has been super positive has been my experience with Totem tech support. Isaac in particular is single handedly saving my business. It is nice having someone located in Texas for support. That was a big fear of mine when purchasing. Sometimes a company shows its true colors when it comes to how they handle a problem, and they have been reasonable. However, with that being said, I blew the rear tire again on the new bike, so if you purchase, get some extra tubes and be aware. This time, instead of paying $90.00 to have a shop replace it. I did it myself and it was not that hard. There are some good youtube videos if you are mechanically inclined. I've had the bike for 3 days now, so I will update when I have more experience. ... show more

Update 7/2/23: Made it to 200+ miles on 4 charges of battery using mosly level 1 pedal assist and some sporadic throttle. About 100 of those miles were towing a trailer with 40lb kid in it. Got on the trail a few times, and it does great! Recommend upgrading handlebar grips as pictured, and I also replaced twist throttle with thumb throttle to make room for the better grips. Will definitely replace tires at some point as not near aggressive enough for rough trails. Still quite pleased with performance at price point. Plan to update review once I put more miles on it and get it out on some trails, but so far loving this affordable but capable e-MTB. Have only put 15 miles on (up and down terrain) and have really only needed to use low level pedal assist plus some throttle here and there, but battery shows nearly full power still. Easy to assemble and arrived in good shape. Keep in mind it is not a light bike, but far lighter than many of the ebikes on the market. Also, dig this bike wayyyy more than the osprey model, which lacks a throttle and has a lower power motor but a better component or two. The volcano elite has a more manageble frame at 17” which fits me at 5’10” perfectly. ... show more

So out of the box there was a chip already on it... ok fine. Front brake required entire remounting just to work, and no instructions included on it, nor on what size/type pads and where to get in future, nor instructions on how to adjust later. Even the cable had to be pulled through further just to get them to function, and still squeels, rotor bent? Then I noticed while on the front brakes, that the tire was installed in the wrong direction to begin with! Had to remove rubber and reinflate. LED display different then whats in the manual, and no instructions on some of the different features like resetting trip or dimming display, had to contact them for more info. Came with 2 flat clear plastic pieces with no instructions on what they were for. No instructions on preload adjuster which has no cap? feels like it will break turning it. Left handlebar shifter isnt preset bullet shifter, its a "feel where there gear is roughly" system. The wires from the controllers into the frame press in the front fork, had to tie them out of the way and still work thier way down while riding. Previous review shows this also on thier bike where it wore through the shielding! dangerous!! Terrible rattle somewhere seems like inside wires on the inside of frame, no way to silence it. not noticable on street for first few test rides but first time on a hard pack dirt trail, aweful. Gear way to short, cant go above 18mph confortably in top gear without doing roadrunner leg speed, meaning no street riding this or taking it to or from trails. very under geared! i know its limited to 20mph for the motor, but under regular peddling its dog slow getting anywhere, especially on flat or downhill where you simply cant pedal at all. pedal arms, the geometry is terrible because your toes hit the front wheel while slow turning... 23 years of biking this has never happened before. this a kids bike made adult size? no throttle only mode as described, throttle only works with a power level set, which means always pedal assist to use throttle, or full off pedal only. AND the real kicker... crappy plastic pedal it came with worked its way out a bit then COMPLETELY stripped the threads out while on the first FLAT trail test in hardpack dirt after only 8 miles. Now its a paperweight... and no response from Totem. DANGEROUS GARBAGE!!!! ... show more

I was a pro motocross rider when I ordered this bike I was skeptical, but the price and the 500w motor appealed to me, when I went for the first ride I was pleasantly surprised with the balance it responds quickly the handling even the suspension is great , the tires are not that bad .
