Description

Searching for an epoxy mixer that fits your drill? The TotalBoat Helix Mixer is the ultimate drill mixing attachment. Mix epoxy resin and paint consistently and thoroughly without introducing air bubbles! Say goodbye to tedious manual stirring or mixing with this efficient paint mixing tool. The Helix mixer features a galvanized hex shaft that attaches securely to all 3/8" chuck and larger electric drills, corded and cordless. It's called 'Helix' in reference to the unique polypropylene blade shape that provides powerful, reliable, and thorough mixing of the thickest, most viscous paint, epoxy resin, silicone, and other finishes. It's perfect for quart and gallon size containers, as the sturdy, long shaft lets the blade effortlessly reach the edges and bottoms of containers. When you're done, clean up is fast and easy. Simply wipe with denatured alcohol or acetone (for epoxy) or soap and water (for latex and water-based finishes), use paint thinners for household paints, or specified thinning solvents if removing marine paints or other specialty finishes. Skip the wood or plastic paint stir sticks, or any other paint tools, and forget about tedious manual mixing and stirring by hand. Save your time and energy for your projects - the Helix mixer makes quick work of blending multi part finishes, resin and hardener, plus blending epoxy additives, fillers, pigments, alcohol inks, and mica powders. No epoxy user, whether a novice DIYer or pro, should be without this handy drill bit attachment.

  • A new TWIST, pun intended....
For "raised bed garden" enthusiasts, this paint mixer is an EXCELLENT garden bed soil mixer. It augers the soil very well. I used a powerful electric drill, (not included) to loosen the soil, then added soil builder for the winter. This beats purchasing a rototiller!

  • Nice Mixer/Stirrer
This worked very well with my drill on low speed range. The mixing ability is good and very handy.

  • The metal end fits in your drill (not included).
TotalBoat Helix Mixer Drill Attachment - Stirrer Mixes Epoxy Resin, Paint and Silicone - Tool Fits All 3/8” Drills - for Mixing Quart and Gallon Containers First impressions: Nice sized tool for mixing paints, resins, and silicone. The metal end fits in your drill (not included). Installation/setup: Place in your drill chuck. Use on low speed, if you use too high a speed, you can introduce bubbles to your project. Final thoughts: I would only use this in amounts of a quart or more. Anything smaller would introduce way too much air at any speed in my opinion. I got this to mix paint for my Halloween displays and props. It fits in my cordless drill and is held nice and tight in the chuck. I still use low speed and am very careful so I don’t make a mess and sling paint all over. The paint mixes quickly and I’m able to reach all the way to the bottom of my gallon container. I like this and I’m glad I got it. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend. ... show more

  • Works Perfect!
This came in just in time for me to start a project repainting my entire house. It was very easy to attach to my drill and mix the paint. The only issue I can imagine one could run into would be overmixing? Also, I was expecting a softer silicone, but it is a harder plastic. We would use this for the initial mixing then a paint stick if the can needed remixing. When used with a latex paint I was able to easily rinse it off spotless with water while the paint was still wet. Great product! ... show more

  • Outstanding paint and epoxy mixer!
What it is: The TotalBoat Helix is designed to mix pain and epoxy in 1 gallon or smaller containers using a 3/8” or larger power drill. Constructed blue plastic with a steel shank. Includes instructions on label and QR code. Why I like it: I have been using TotalBoat products for many years—from their Halcyon marine finishes to their epoxies (penetrating and finishing) along with pigments. They are high quality and this Helix mixer fits right in their lineup. The fin shape and overall design mixes effectively without aerating, and you can get to the bottom and edges of the container easily. I use it with my cordless drill, and it works great for mixing paints as well as epoxies and blending in pigments. I kept the black rubber hanger that attaches to the end—works great to fit hanging to dry and got storage. Clean it up after every use, and you’ll get many mix sessions out of it! ... show more

  • Quick mixer
I'll never mix by hand again this mixer is so simple to use. I just wish it had a nonstick coating or something because I hate having more things to clean at the end of a job.

  • Mixes Well, Cleans Easily
I've snapped this mixer into both my Ryobi impact driver and drill and it fit perfectly in either. I've used it to mix up some old paint that definitely needed a little love as well as some premixed drywall joint compound and it did a great job in both applications. What I really appreciate about this, aside from the excellent mixing capability, is that it cleans off very easily so that it's ready to go back in the drawer until the next time it's needed. Given that, for the price I think it's a must have in any DIY homeowner's toolkit. ... show more
