Instructions are great to identify the different parts, but the video provided by Tyger is a nice step by step to make the install seamless. It seems to be very sturdy and should hold up well over time. I haven't put anything on it yet, but I am sure it will handle it no problem. Although I have not purchased many or any of this type rack, other than this one, I cannot comment on a comparison level. I will say that I am more than happy with this type and brand. This is my first Tyger product and after installing and road testing I would recommend this purchase to anyone in the market. This rack is super easy to assemble and install, it’s rugged and sturdy, and all threaded hardware installed with ease. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow but some people prefer a video, which is also very informative. I am experiencing zero added road noise. If you assemble and install loosely (but not too loose) then throw it on the taco and line EVERYTHING up and level before you tighten any and all hardware. And follow the faring instruction. Im getting no hums, no vibrations, no whistles or screaming from this rack. And that’s with the sunroof open. If i had to complain, which I’m not, the kit was short 1 washer. I know I know, the police were kinda upset when they got here. But I scavenged a washer from the handles, which I didn’t install. Have not had it on a week yet so no comment on longevity. Took an hour for my son and I to assemble and install. Everything fit and it looks good on my '05 Tacoma double cab. But... You will never drive with your windows down ever again. I used to speak at a normal volume at 70 MPH with windows up, but now we are yelling at each other. LOUD wind noise.

Installed this rack along with a single row niilight 40” light bar. The instructions were clear with plenty of pictures and easy to follow. The rack is plenty sturdy- I would feel comfortable standing on it. Amazing value for the money when you consider most reputable racks are at least a couple hundred more expensive. The only issue I ran into is the light bar mounts didn’t fit with the rack’s mounts (they were turned in as in the picture, but was still too wide). I ended up drilling 2 new holes just outboard of the existing holes and mounting my light bar in the new holes. Took a few minutes extra, but not too difficult. I would recommend sticking with 38” or less light bars, if you intend to mount one and don’t want to drill. Otherwise, the 40” fits perfectly. ... show more

I had been eyeing this roof rack for several months and decided to purchase it during the Memorial Day weekend when a discount was available. The discounted price made it an excellent deal! Unfortunately, I encountered some issues with the shipping process. The initial tracking number provided turned out to be invalid, and I had to spend a couple of hours with customer service to resolve the situation and ensure that a rack was sent out to fulfill my order. Although the packaging was absolutely scuffed, I was relieved to find that nothing was damaged. However, I was disappointed when the UPS delivery person left the package outside my property. Imagine that. Moving on to the rack itself, it is truly fantastic, and I dedicated approximately two days to its assembly and installation. Using a power drill, the build process took about an hour. It's important not to overtighten any components. While it is possible to install the rack alone, it can be physically demanding and may result in scratches on the vehicle. Therefore, having assistance is recommended. Instead of using the provided pads, I opted to use silicone, which allowed me to confidently achieve a proper fit and secure seal. I have washed my truck twice since installation and have not experienced any leaks. Once the rack was completely installed, I loosened and readjusted the bolts to ensure that everything was properly aligned. I installed some harbor freight rock lights as well as some rear chasing lights. Everything was easy to attach and wire. The rack has been a great purchase thus far. In conclusion, the rack looks aesthetically pleasing and remains stable without any vibrations. It is worth noting that there is some additional wind noise due to increased wind resistance, but this is to be expected. Side note: In the event of stripping the roof bolts, there is no need to panic. You can chase the threads or, as a last resort, rethread and go up to the next size. Although I didn't encounter this issue personally, it is a consideration worth mentioning when securing everything in place. ... show more

Took a chance on this rack, was hesitant cause there’s not a ton of reviews on these. Everything went together perfect, all holes lined up perfect. Wind noise is very minimal. Not noticeable after a week of driving. UPDATE - worked great on a camping trip. Miles of rutted dirt roads and the rack held everything fine. Instructions were detailed but a bit confusing. Following along the installation video that Tyger released solved that problem. Made installation incredibly easy. Looks great on the truck, feels sturdy, perfect for what I need it for. I did add some RVT sealant around all the mounting points for some extra protection against rain. ... show more
