Love this microwave which I have had for over 5 years and it still works great!! Pros: Energy Saving ECO Mode when I’m not using it. 30sec start or add to time. Auto Settings for recipes. Easy to Clean. Microwaves meals quickly due to 1100 W. BUT BEST OF ALL IS THE ABILITY TO CONTROL IT THROUGH ALEXA!! I don’t even have to be in the same room to tell the microwave to do its thing. Stop, start, cook on high for X minutes then switch to a different power level for X minutes. If I have my hands full and I just want to add 30 secs, just tell Alexa. Personally I will never have another microwave without Alexa because of the convenience. I’ve accidentally left my coffee in the microwave and gone to my home-office and I’ll tell Alexa to reheat my Coffee and by the time I get back to the kitchen, it is nice and hot and ready to drink! Also I know this is a small thing but I love the handle on the door. I’ve had microwaves with that little push button thing to open the door and they all eventually break. The microwave still works, but you can’t open the door. That’s why I like a handle on my microwave door. CONs: There aren’t any! Now I want an Alexa compatible Toshiba microwave that is a convection oven, can Air-Fry, Grill, and has a handle on the Door! So come on Toshiba!! Give us a product that does it all because you make long lasting quality products and with MATTER it will be simple for even those people who complained they couldn’t get Alexa to work. This is my mother's 2nd Toshiba smart microwave. The first one stopped heating after 4 months. Toshiba was great they issued a check within 10 days. We purchased another one and this was a newer model. It does respond to Alexa as advertised.

    • Like it a lot, a nightmare to set up LOST ALEXA CAPABILITY

Update: Around Mar 1 2021 this stopped responding to Alexa due to an update to the Msmartlife app. Alexa integration cannot be restored, the new MS app will not even open. I would not be quite so bothered by this were it not for the fact that the app/Alexa integration is necessary to access all the microwave presets. I am not the only one with this issue. It's even in the app reviews Alexa still shows the microwave skill as enabled.So, I might as well have saved my money and kept my not smart microwave. THIS SHOULD NOT BE STILL BEING SOLD AS ALEXA ENABLED. IT'S NOT. The microwave itself is just great, fast, nice presets, bright interior light, amazingly quiet, has worked well with everything I've tried. When I bought this I was in the market for an 1100W smallish microwave with smart sensor. I found the non Alexa enabled model and was about to buy that when I saw this for not much more and I have Alexa and an Echo Dot and had managed to add a Bluetooth speaker and Roku TV, found that handy and effortless, intuitive to do. Setting this up was anything but easy, effortless, intuitive despite the fact I followed step by step instructions and watched several YouTube videos. I had no trouble downloading the MSmartLife app both from the Google store and using the QR code after adding a QR reader to my phone. But after a number of tries and installing and deleting the app I could not get past the initial screen agreeing to and accepting terms and conditions. I did finally get this to work and was able to connect the microwave and add it to Alexa but it took hours and probably years off my life. I used the voice control to pop corn and this morning to boil water for instant cappuccino without going into the kitchen, saving three steps and a minute and a half. Using presets and sensor settings with Alexa requires using the exact script in the manual p17. I would not know how to use all presets/sensor settings without Alexa, this is not in the manual I have, anywhere. ... show more

i have tried numerous times along with contacting Toshiba and yet the Alexa feature doesn't work on this microwave what a waste of time & money also the micro is set at high heat and that doesn't work either

The Toshiba microwave with Alexa, works great. The microwave cooks the frozen dinner's quiet well and all you have to say is "Alexa cook microwave for 5 minutes". I am very happy with my purchase, and since I can just tell Alex the command words and it will start the microwave - no muss or fuss.
