Description

Torco RTF Racing Transmission Fluid Bottle - 1 liter is specifically engineered to reduce fluid drag for increased power efficiency without compromising component durability. It is made from a combination of specially selected 100 percent synthetic group IV/V base oils proving superior shear resistance and extreme temperature stability. The RTF is specially formulated to exceed the load-carrying and extreme pressure wear protection properties of higher viscosity GL-5 or GL-6 gear oils. The RTF provides anti-score protection for high speed, high load and high torque shock-loading conditions, while allowing smooth operation of synchronizers. It is recommended for manual transmissions, transaxles and marine outdrive units where an SAE 75W90, 80W90 or 90 is specified. It also replaces SAE motor oil 10W30, 30, 10W40 or 40 where specified for transmissions. It is commonly used in circle track (Winston Cup, Busch, modified, stock), road racing, formula, open wheel (Champ Cars, IRL Cars), off road, drag racing, sports compact street and domestic performance street applications. It is highly recommended for achieving maximum power efficiency. It is excellent for dry sump and fluid drive gear cases. The RTF is specifically recommended for Richmond Gear Racing Transmissions.

had honda MTF and shifting above 6K from 1st to 2nd quickly caused a grind. did fresh honda MTF and it stayed. tried royal purple synchromesh and it remained. i dug around and the K20a.org guys liked the torco MTF so i did half racing RTF and half standard torco MTF. no more 2nd gear grind and it shifts great still a year later. will only use this is my TSX from now on. I've used Torco MTF for a few years now with my MFactory Limited Slip. I thought I'd splurge and try the RTF despite the cost. I was very surprised to see that this stuff is a bright blue color, so I was very curious how it would feel in my Accord trans with carbon synchros, LSD, and 450whp flowing through it. Well, I could tell the difference immediately and I think it's only improved since then. It's hard to describe, but compared to the Torco MTF, the trans feels extra 'slick' when shifting and is a job to blip through the gears. I will definitely be buying this again when it comes time to flush or rebuild the trans again. ... show more

The manual transmission fluid seems much more durable than OEM Honda MTF. My synchros seem to work much better than OEM fluid under cold starts/driving. Once at operating temperature, transmission does somewhat better. And if driving aggressively and beating on the gearbox a bit, making the gear oil hot makes the gearbox shifting buttery smooth. Overall, for Honda manual transmissions/gearboxes, I would recommend this. The fluid doesn’t seem to break down easily, and aggressive driving seems suitable. ... show more
