  • Great power source for off-grid shed
The only problem I have is the controller is constantly needing to be reset. I have been using this for an off-grid shed...and when it works, it's great! I have an off-grid shed where I wanted to install a security camera, so I bought this 10W solar panel (with controller), a 12V 9AH battery, 12V to 5V USB converters, LED lights, switches, and the Wyze v3 security camera. It's great to have lights, rather than carrying a flashlight. Having the security camera lets me see what's happening remotely. I love it! For some reason, I frequently have to disconnect and reconnect the controller. I'll get a yellow and red light, then reset and it's good...sometimes for 5 minutes, sometimes for days. Often, I'll reset half a dozen times, and it'll never stay working. What else can I do...or is the controller faulty? I have upgraded the 9 amp hour battery to a 12 amp hour battery...no difference. I charged them both, then wired them together for 21AH life, and the controller still fails. Voltage usually reads 12 to 12.5V. I'm running a Wyze v3 camera on this circuit and would like to depend on it remaining active so I can keep receiving the signal 75 feet away. I also have a bench light and a loft light, but neither are used for more than a few minutes a month when I'm in there. ... show more

  • I am not confident that these are each 170, but they do pull in at least 100 watts each
Size: 340W-KIT
I got these because they looked like they would be the perfect panels to add to my EcoFlow Delta 2 system. I already have a 160watt EcoFlow portable panel (which is fantastic, btw), and these two are exactly what I needed to get to 500 watts. I have them hooked up in parallel (and yes, I know that in series brings in more wattage, but this helps keep everything OK even on the coldest days) and I'm a little underwhelmed at what I'm able to bring in. That said, the panels themselves feel like they are good quality (about 30 pounds each, I'd say) and they have definitely helped bring in more solar. Without dedicated testing of each panel, I can't say for sure what they're really pulling in.. but my gut tells me that each one is closer to 100 watts. Based on the price, that's kind of what I was assuming when I bought them so I don't feel that's a problem. I did appreciate that they came with everything that I'd need to install them (and a few toys that I don't use, like the charge controller). It's a pretty professional operation, and I would buy these again. So, in short, I think that these are great panels for the money. They DO work, and they feel sturdy enough to stand up to good abuse outside. I've had them pull in 50 watts of solar on RAINY days, which is fairly fantastic. ... show more

  • Great deal
Size: 100W-Kit
I already have a kit from HF that I paid to much for mostly because of the convenience. After seeing how it worked I purchased this set. One panel with the same power so it's way more convenient. And 30a controller vice the 10a I had. The literature says not for lithium battery but the controller has a setting for lithium, go figure. I'm using this with a diy portable solar generator that has a 100ah lifepo4 battery and 1000w pure sine wave inverter for a tertiary power backup. I still have to come up with a better stand for the panel but this was still the best value by far. ... show more

  • Great option for ordering a few panels at a time!
Size: 340W-Single(W
First off, for anyone wondering these are not the same panels as the 170 watt ones in the kit. They are very similar but not the exact same in a few different ways. They are easy to connect, do your research but you almost can't hook these up wrong. They are a good value for the money, especially for those of use who don't have the budget to order a whole pallet at a time. The size seems to be a little bigger than the standard 100 watt panels, but not too large thar you can't handle them by yourself. Seems to be very durable, however the plastic corners often get broken off during shipping. Would be awesome to see a pack of replacements from the manufacturer. I haven't researched these vs other panels admittedly, but seems to be pretty efficient. Two panels hooked up to a 1100 watt inverter and an upgraded solar charge controller will run 150 watts or so almost all day and night hooked up to two 12 v batteries (largest AGM from Bass Pro). I've ran TV's and wifi, grill, fans, ect...obviously depends on your setup but will charge your solar batteries and do what is needed for a good battery life. ... show more

  • Poor Quality Solar Panels
I'm writing this review one year later. I bought three of the 170W solar panels for a total of 510W. I read the other reviews so I wasn't expecting much but was at least expecting 300-400W. NOPE. When they were new they never peaked over 350W in direct sunlight and now a year later they won't go over 175W for all three. I thought a panel went out but tested and each only put out 50-60W. It's pathetic and I'm sure these are used or refurbished cells that were at the end of their life prior to being sold. ... show more

  • Work great
Size: 340W-Kit(W)
Had no issues with top solar power. They also are usually under rate amps wise. Had it at one point @ 14.3 volts, forgot to check the amps though

  • perfect working solar setup
Size: 100W-Kit
I have purchased two of these kits now and they work amazing. One is on a shed and one is on a camper so nothing huge with constant use but 2 batteries charge just fine and has been able to keep everything going that I need. Easy to hook up as they have it all labeled.
