My husband used this to drill holes into 1/8” diamond plate steel and was completely impressed. Using cutting oil he was able to cut right through at high speed with no issues. A couple of points regarding some of the issues people had: he inserted the shaft nearly all the way into the drill to give it extra support and made sure to keep the drill absolutely straight the whole time. He did mention that it tried to hand up a couple of times, but he just stopped and restarted with no problem. I had one for a little over a year and use just about every day between copper and galvanized metals. Stayed sharp the whole time and never had any problems with it. Definitely worth the money and mine only broke cause my impact took a 15’ fall and landed right on it

Highly recommend for those needing hole up to 2” and above. Especially you are working on stainless steel sheet. Whether it’s your kitchen sink or any project, this unibit gets job done!!! It all began with I needed to punch a hole of 2” on a very think stainless steel sheet. My journey began with a smaller Irwin unibit and it did the job - till 1-3/8 size. That the biggest hole Irwin can go. I then figured out I needed a biggie hole. I ran to Homedepot and got a Milwaukee 2” bi-metal saw and used it with my WEN drill press. With plenty lubrication and careful low speed drilling, the 2” bi-metal eventually failed and ran out of its sharp teeth after 20 mins. I was very frustrated and tired. I ran to Homedepot again and found out there’s no bigger unibit than 1-3/8. Crazy! I started google and found out this giant unibit. I was very skeptical at beginning. But wow! The unibit is amazing! I enlarged 1-3/8 hole to 2” in less than 2mins! I didn’t even use WEN drill press, but a Milwaukee 18V wireless driller, and it did a fantastic job and FAST! Go get it! You wont be disappointed! Be careful when you use this unibit, the pushback power is very strong and can hurt you! Make sure you either use a drill press, or hold the drill with both hands tightly! ... show more

I recently replaced the gas fill on my car with a newton filler and needed to enlarge the hole. This worked perfect it is expensive, but you get what you pay for, and I haven't been able to find anything any bigger.

I've never had a step bit like this I've never seen anything eat like this step bit in my life I'm an automotive GPS installer we have to drill holes in material up to half inch thick doesn't even phase it I've had mine for over 6 months worth the money
